Good morning to you all. First smoke of this sunny, probably hot and humid Monday; My Own Blend's Christmas tobacco in a BBB Christmas 1971 - Special Make. Let's see if this 2 x Christmas will bring fond memories of degrees below zero.

Getting my last pipe ready to smoke on this early morning. Must try and sleep afterwards.
One of my favorite blends......yes.....I’m a BIG John Patton fan:
John Patton's Storm Front aged over 2.5 years.
Pipe of choice: Custom made Oom Paul style, Reverse Calabash Cob pipe.

I’m new to this forum and looking forward to a great stay here. I’ve heard many wonderful stories about this forum and finally decided to join. Due to health issues I had to stop smoking a pipe for roughly 2 months but today was a FABULOUS DAY! I’m back doing what I’ve enjoyed since September 1968, this September will be my 50th Anniversary enjoying my Pipes and tobacco’s. Hello All, it’s a pleasure to be back!!! Recently opened a Mason jar of Sutliff's Ready Rubbed Match dated 2012. Pipe of choice: Stanwell Royal Guard with a bent wide comfortable stem. A chubby beautiful piece of briar. Welcome and greetings from Denmark.
I like Stanwell pipes a lot and I am overly curious. Is the little chubby piece of briar perhaps Sixten Ivarsson's no. 90..?

Work is done for the day, and I'm now smoking year 2001 Dunhill Navy Rolls in a 1984 black sandblasted straight Dunhill Shell 4103 Billiard with a black vulcanite stem. Watching an documentary about the Beatles' break up.

Continuing in my "it's been a long time" smokes. I decided upon some C&D Morley's Best, also from 2015 in my Peterson 1912 Iceberg Collection "Port" pipe with a bottle of Sierra Nevada Summerfrest Lager along side (although, it feels nothing like summer here as it's 52 degrees and raining currently).

GH Ennerdale Flake, chilled Jewel of Russia Classic Vodka w/a drop of spring water, Blade Runner 2049... I thought Bladerunner 2049 was very good. Not as good as the original, but WAAAAAY better than I thought it would be. 8/10 is what I gave it. I bought it on Blu-Ray when it came out, but haven't watched it yet.

Yeah, I wish!!!
However it is a beautiful piece of Stanwell chubby briar. Stamped on briar.....Royal Guard. I own over a dozen Stanwell pipes and all are great to outstanding smoking pipes. My Stanwell #95 was my only real disappointment. I had to open the draft hole a bit, extremely hard draw. Now I enjoy it much more. I’m new within this forum and in a few days I will start posting pictures at times of what I’m smoking. I will definitely post my Stanwell pipes.
Thank you for the warm welcome, greatly appreciated.

Well, as usual having problems sleeping......as Mr. JimInks knows from my past. The human body can not heal without proper sleep so hopefully after this next pipe I will try once again.
One of my ebay bargains, purchased new for under $30.00 and its a good smoker dedicated to this fine blend:
Billy Budd bulk version date on Mason Jar 2011
Pipe of choice: HS Studio black as night sandblasted poker pipe with a slight bend to a wide comfortable stem.

Too early in the a.m. for a first smoke o' the day, but wanted to reply to headrott regarding my impression of Blade Runner 2049: for me it was much less dramatically and emotionally captivating than the original, and visually was as blase' as could be. I was looking forward to a very amped-up rendition of the original, and was disappointed with how toned down the future version turned out. 5/10, if that. Thanks, headrott... appreciate your reply. :-)

Started a second bowl of chestnut in the mm mark twain with a black stem. Second day of vacation and still enjoying the time with my entire crew. Mr 4 and mr 14 are both enjoying themselves whilst arguing as only brothers can. The dogs are enjoying the sunshine and the constant presence of the crew.
