Good evening, you all. What better way to celebrate that my nausea has finally disappeared, than to smoke a bowl of HH's Pure Virginia in an Orlik no. L206 - de Luxe and a large mug of green tea with lemon.

Yeah, I wish!!! However it is a beautiful piece of Stanwell chubby briar. Stamped on briar.....Royal Guard. I own over a dozen Stanwell pipes and all are great to outstanding smoking pipes. My Stanwell #95 was my only real disappointment. I had to open the draft hole a bit, extremely hard draw. Now I enjoy it much more. I’m new within this forum and in a few days I will start posting pictures at times of what I’m smoking. I will definitely post my Stanwell pipes. Thank you for the warm welcome, greatly appreciated. I can't help it... I'm beside myself with curiosity. Is it this one..? It's small, it's chubby and it's a Stanwell no. 90, designed by Sixten Ivarsson.

This bodes well. lol! you had me all confused over that. thanks for the correction You're most welcome, M'Lady. Here in Denmark we use the 24hr designation and I always get in trouble when I stumble around in ams and pms.

Stanhill.......tomorrow I will try and take a picture or two of my Stanwell Royal Guard. The next time I stuff it with one of my favorites I will post a picture or two.
Now going to enjoy: Just opened a tin of Solani ABF from 2012. A bit moist so I rubbed out a large flake and let let it air dry for roughly 45 minutes. I prefer this fine flake well rubbed as opposed to folding and stuffing the pipe chamber. Smokes more complex, just my personal preference.
Pipe of choice: My T. Cristiano smooth finished nosewarmer, beautiful piece of briar with a square shank. Allot of detail work on the stem. Also an excellent smoking pipe. In time you might notice I smoke many of this makers pipes, why you may ask......all are well crafted and well aged briar is used on all of his older pipes. Which make these pipes either great or at times superb smokers.
A PICTURE SHOWS BEST......

John Patton's Crossroads jarred in 2013 Pipe of choice: RARE restored to mint condition by me......Made by Master Pipe Maker Pierre Morel Sr. hand Made/carved Bullmoose pipe with a slight bend to a very comfortable stem. This pipe is truly a work of Art. Pierre was also a fine sculpture, some of his fine craft is in the Louvre Museum. His son followed his Dad’s craft of fine hand made pipes. Here are two pictures, honestly looks even better in the hand. Don’t smoke this rare beauty as often as I should....

Burey Flake reload on the Shorty. Man that's a small bowl. A good break time smoke for those who can grab a smoke at work. Half a flake burned for 15 minutes.

Stanhill Keystones are clay shards supposedly harvested from Danish Volcanic clay frtom Limfjord, to cool and dry the smoke. ** they look like cat litter to me.
