John Patton's Storm Front aged over 3 years. Pipe of choice: RDPipes ( Ron Powell BoB member ) Custom Made Devil Anse Pipe. Ron made this pipe specially for my smoking pleasure. It’s not only a looker, it’s a superb smoking pipe. Beautiful pipe. In fact, Ron makes some of the most beautiful pipes, I've ever seen.

Ron moved to Utah from Texas and stopped making pipes. Now the good news.....he’s moving back to Texas and will be making pipes once again in a few months. He is a true craftsman and does not like to be called an “ Artisan pipe maker “.

My package from Blakemar Briars came today. It had two pipes, a rustic Lovat and a Squat panel rustic Bulldog. I'm currently puffing some C&D Crooner in the Lovat. Quite nice, light and easy to clench, smoking well for it's first bowlful.
The Matador Lovat...
The Hunt Club Squat Panel Bulldog...
Got Strong Coffee!

GLP Sixpence dated 2014....recently opened this tin. Definitely gets better with age👍👍👍 Pipe of choice: my restored Kirsten pipe with a custom made Tulip Freehand Briar bowl. Made by pipe maker/carver Don Warren. The picture was taken last year and this bowl has been smoked over 250 times. Extremely satisfied with the style, flawless piece of well aged briar.....which makes for a great smoke.

He is a true craftsman and does not like to be called an “ Artisan pipe maker “. I know the story and I can understand why he doesn't want to be called an artisan pipe maker. It's a silly expression, just as silly as 'Estate' for used pipes. I'll just call him a great pipe maker.
