MM Great Dane in a MM Washington. Shiner Bock on the side. ronv69....glad it’s you and I that enjoy this hidden gem. Your the only pipe smoker I’ve noticed reading posts from other pipe forums that smoke this blend. Which I’m also glad that over the past few years I stocked up on this blend and have 5 quart size Mason jars filled and dated. This is a blend that sings in a good Cob!!! It’s been out of stock from Smokingpipes for quite some time. Nobody seems to know if it will ever be back.

MM: Great Dane - I smoke it too, though the last batch I got 6 months ago, seemed to have been tweaked some from the original.

Finally home again. While I was out, I had a few bowls of Jim's Va/Bur in a 2015 Basil Meadows Bing Crosby Merchant Service replica with a smooth straight thin shank, aluminum band and black ebonite stem. Getting ready to watch a tribute to Henry Aaron on ESPN.

After reading through the perique percent thread... Bayou Nights.... slow... cool... mouth watering. Youbetcha......I had a 55 minute bowl of Bayou Night earlier myself. I personally find it smokes best in a wide chamber pipe. Your so right......burns both cool and slow.

That one took me a little less than 45 mins. I like it in my bigger bowl Grabow Freehand. Not the best pipe in the world, but so far it's one of my favorites. I really enjoy the way it smokes and it's my yard pipe (along with a cob).
Now it's time for a cob full of Vintage Syrian to be followed with a bowl of ice cream.

Following a delicious supper of Tri-Tip braised in a sauce of red wine, shallots, garlic, Coleman mustard, mushrooms, Worscester Sauce and a dash of HP, thickened with Black Truffle Butter, a bowl of CD's Black Frigate in a Peterson Number 106. Not bad for a Tuesday! Enjoy the rest of yours.

Reiner Professional Blend dated 2009. An enjoyable aromatic that does not need to be sipped. Pipe of choice: Pipes of Malta Meer Billiard bowl with a wide saddle stem. Custom made for me in 1987 and purchased while living on The Island of Malta. This pipe I’ve smoked over 5,000 times in the past 31 years.
