Smoking some D&R Two Timer in a Meer Calabash. JimInks The Man From I.N.K.S. walked me through some of the D&R blends a while back. First smoke last year was okay. It wasn't aging or anything, but I have been smoking so much Five Brothers that this is a pretty good alternative, and as usual... Jim rocked the Casbah

Lane Andullo dated 2016, the year I first purchased this fermented blend. I’m really enjoying this blend in a good Cob, it’s okay in a briar as well. I’ve had the privilege in the past too also smoke the Dominican & Brazilian versions of this fermented blend with cigar leaf. My favorite is the Brazilian, then the Dominican and Lane’s version third, but definitely worth while enjoying Lane’s version a few times a week, at times.
Pipe of choice: MM Country Gentleman pipe that’s dedicated to any fermented blends 👍👍👍

This weeks travels have me spending the night in Syracuse NY. After getting checked in to the hotel I got online and found Rocky's Cigar shop. A quick 12 $ uber ride and I found myself in a quaint B&M that had a great cigar selection and a very limited pipe tobacco selection, but hey, at least they had a dozen or so tins.
I grabbed an Arturo Fuente 858 and a cup of coffee and visited with the shop owner and a couple of his regulars.
Tony, one of the local gents, told me about a great restaurant, Basil Leaf, with an outdoor patio and bar, so after my cigar, and a $9 uber ride, I was sittin on the patio, tossin back a cerveza and enjoying baked clams and a great salad.
Finished up the evening with a couple of bowls of MM965 and some Glen Fiddich .
All in all a nice ending to a busy day.

You always seem to find fun areas wherever you travel👍👍👍 Thanks LC, I forgot to mention that lastnight, while in Buffalo, I found a local B&M that's been there since the 70's. Didn't get a chance to meet the owner (son of the founder) but did get a chance to visit with Bill. He's worked there for 20 years or so since he retired. The place was absolutely magical. Thousands of pipes and a nice selection of pipe tobacco, tins and bulk, as well as a decent cigar selection. Also had a nice sitting area to sit down and enjoy a pipe. After I picked up a tin from Bill, I asked if there were any restaurants / pubs in the area with an outdoor area to enjoy a pipe? He said that sadly most of them had closed over the years. As I was getting in the car he walked out of the shop and came up to the window and said "Dino, I keep beer in the fridge and a few bottles of Scotch if you want to stop back by after you have dinner". I was floored at the kind and generous offer. Being as I was traveling with a "non-smoking" colleage, I thanked him for the kind invitation and asked if I could take a raincheck until I was back in town next month.
