I saw Jim smoke some HU Old Fredder's Broken Flake (a few times) and thought "It's been a little over a year since I've smoked that one." So , I decided upon some over a year aged HU Old Fredder's Broken Flake to smoke in the Butz-Chacom Duo 1402 pipe with a 16 ounce can of Modern Times Critical Band Hazy IPA along side.

Smoking an early morning bowl of some P&C Mystery Blend in a Dr. Grabow Hillcrest Canadian. This tobacco, ordered last summer, was supposed to have been McClelland 5100 but the labels apparently got switched during the packing process and I got a pound of an unknown lightly aromatic blend. P&C customer service was quick to replace it with the correct item and told me to keep the blend that I initially received. It is a quality aromatic, not an overly moist blend at all and not too heavily flavored. I just wish I knew what it is for the sake of my curiosity.

Enjoyed a grilled roast beef and cheese sandwich, and am now smoking HU Old Fredder’s Broken Flake in a smooth straight early 1960s Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Mad Dog Russo is on MLB TV at the top of the hour.
