Astley's No. 44 in a Willmer along with a mug of Maxwell House. Temperatures returning to normal here. Our average high for today is 90--with a heat index hovering around 100. Forecast for the next week is close to this. Nice to get back to normal.  |

Boswell's Northwoods date on jar 2011, should be more enjoyable with age.

I like to wait out my first smoke of the day till my mouth is just watering and I am distracted. Then the smoke, combined with the relief, is just wonderful.
Billy Budd Blonde, Sav 320EX, bowl of coffee with milk, and afterwards, back to work.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am starting off my smoking day with Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. A bottle of Boylan's Birch Beer made with pure cane sugar is my drink. Waiting for Mad Dog Russo at the top of the hour.

Temp is 90 feels like 100. Gonna be one of those days again today...run like hell to the A/C from shed to house. Gotta smoke in the shed cause the most significant other is allergic to smoke. Sooo had to A/C the shed with a 10,000 btu window unit...it does the job!
Headin' out with a bowl of storm front in a cob.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of HU Old Fredder’s Broken Flake in a smooth straight early 1960s Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.

A few minutes away from smoking the original year 2011 Sutliff Luxury Balkan Blend 957 that won third place in the Chicago Pipe Show Balkan Sobranie 759 contest in a 2002 Ser Jacopo Delecta Fatta A Mano R1 sandblast Rhodesian with a smooth extension at the shank with a black acrylic stem.

Supposed to be 105 degrees today in Denver, hit 101-105 yesterday in certain areas of town. Insane. I didn’t leave Florida for this weather!
Smoking some 7/2016 FVF i just popped today, and when I say POPPED, it BLEW UP. I damn near thought the jar itself was exploding in my hands when the lid exploded off. Heavy fermentation. Pure heaven. IN A Merkur 2000 volcano. Been slammed with work and life. Smoked EGR in a Leonessa Briosa a couple nights ago, some 2014-15 Orlik DSK in that same pipe last night. Will likely smoke at least a few more bowls of FVF today.
