Okay folks, let's get this show on the road. Let's shoot for starting in April, that gives us a month to prepare. I think it's time for a non-aro blend. Do we have a volunteer to pick, or do we have to draft? Maybe someone who didn't choose a blend last year. If you want to try to pick an internationally available blend contact Paddy about where to look April of 2019......lol

That'll do me. I'm happy to sit out a few months. That way I won't be opening a tin of tobacco each month.
I already have about 36 open tins and I smoke about twice a month. Far too many open!!

I keep hearing about Father Dempsey, and how good it is.

I believe a revamp of the BOM might include a separate thread for each month-blend combination. The thread will encourage participation as all patch members are invited to give their thoughts on the blend. Make it an event not a mere suggestion. "BOM selections" stays open for future BOM considerations.
Thread might state: April BOM: John Cotton #1 Initial Post: Grab yourself a tin and join the thread giving your thoughts on this old time English blend resurrected by Russ Ouellette and the Standard Tobacco Company of Pennsylvania.

So we're down to two choices? I already have JC#1 and wouldn't mind trying Father Dempsey.

If one of the next few months has a tobacco that is globally available, that would be sweet.

Jan - non-aromatic Feb - write off Mar - aromatic Apr - non-aromatic May - aromatic ... However, and just let me throw this in here...not many here are fans of aromatics (from what I can tell)....is an aromatic every other month what's affecting the participation? Or do we leave it as it is but those who don't like aromatics can simply participate every other month?

I think Amphora Full Aroma may be considered an aromatic, but I think that is because it isn't an English. But, i do think designating it to alternate might limit participation. So maybe we throw that out the window? We are taking March off too in order to regroup and have time to get tobacco.

I concur, Lady Margaret. Let's just leave it open for whomever to choose whatever they want to choose. If it's aromatic, so be it. If not, then great.
