Just wanted to share a couple small victories.
Yesterday I managed to soldier the battery
clip in my car fob so it works now and I don't
have to have one ordered.I then opened the draft
in my Bruce Peter's pot and turned a "meh" smoker
into a great smoker.Today I did the same with my Lunar
dublin,without screwing up the twin air flow bit.
And for what I'm really proud of,I fixed my wifes Colibri
lighter.It was given to her about ten years before we got
married,and while she didn't use it,she still wanted to keep
it.Anyway,it had been put away in a drawer for over 25
years,and the flint expanded as well as corroded the brass.
I took it apart a carefully cleaned it using a small drill bit.
I made sure the flint would travel freely,and then put it
all back together.Filled it with butane,and burnt my nose.
Didn't actually burn my nose but I should of.

Small victories like that are worth sharing. I would be the same as you and the others... I'm not creative and not terribly good with my hands, but there are some moments when I manage to pull one out of the bag and solder a wire that has come loose. When I do that I feel proud of myself... So Matthew, this one's for you! |
