One of my fave authors dumps documents on Scribd, which always asks me to join when I look at it. So, I looked into it and I like it better than Amazon's Books Unlimited. I feel it has a wider variety of books, but also has Magazines, newspapers, and audiobooks. It's about 10/month like Amazon, but you can save by paying annual.
Was looking up some conspiracy stuff (Lindbergh Kidnapping) and a Dutch Schultz book. It has the complete text of The Dutchman's mad ravings before he passed. I would have bought this book as soon as I saw it, so it actually saved me the month's fee x2. When someone posts a document being a member allows you to download them. Sometimes important authors will put lengthy docs there that do not wind up in a book. Keeps you clued in, similar to the Chronicle. Ooops. Maybe this post should be Hush Hush
