I have been able to find this forum on tapatalk,however when I log in with my credentials I get a network error message. Is there a known issue with this or am I guilty of operator error? I'm trying from an android device I have tried multiple times ....

I don't use it on my Android tablet, but glad to click it, as I believe each click pays a penny or two towards site expenses?

I downloaded it and could never figure out the first thing about it... don't even know what Tapatalk is for. Sometimes it pops up in front of a web page and is just a nuisance to get rid of. 🤯😳😬💣 ...what the heck is it?!!!

I downloaded it and could never figure out the first thing about it... don't even know what Tapatalk is for. Sometimes it pops up in front of a web page and is just a nuisance to get rid of. 🤯😳😬💣 ...what the heck is it?!!! It's an app that takes forums and makes them easier to use and navigate on a mobile device. I suppose many forums are build with desktop users in mind so this makes it more user friendly. These days there are mobile versions and it's not a pain to navigate anymore. |

I downloaded it once and couldn't make heads nor tails of it. There has been an extra effort made here at the Patch for a smooth mobile experience (that works) so why guild the lilly?

Yeah, just tried to get tapatalk to work. I see that isn't needed with the mobile site in the browser. FWIW, I believe the network error is due a special plugin the forum has to install and tapatalk charges for it but I could be wrong.

If you are ever on the mobile site with your phone and you request the desktop version, it can be a beast to get it back to user friendly mobile view... every time you log into the website by default you now get the unusable desktop version.
The best fix I got with the IPhone:
Go to the Settings > Safari > Advance > Website Data.
Edit from top right,
Tap on red icon and Delete for selected website that you want switch back in to mobile view.
Open the browser and log back in to the patch.

For me the mobile version of the site works just fine in my browser on phone or tablet. I use Chrome as my browser and if I need full use of options the mobile version of the site doesnt have, I turn on the "Desktop Site" option in my browser.
Even if an app were good to use, if my browser can do the job then Im happy.

Tapatalk requires a whole other level of integration with the forum if I'm not mistaken. Never cared to bother.
We have a mobile version that is VERY functional, not much point in fiddling with anything else, IMO.
