From Jack Peterson's email notification:
Klompen Kloggen (Wooden Shoe)
Klompen Kloggen, a longtime favorite. Have you tried it? It’s been around a very long time. Klompen Kloggen appeared in the Playboy magazine in 1956. Before your time?
In the ninth century, Norway, Sweden and Denmark sailed out to plunder (Vikings) but also to trade. Centuries later the Danes were among the first traders with the new world bringing tobacco to Denmark. Pipe smoking soon followed and the rest is history.
Try some Klompen Kloggen now. A 2.5 oz pocket pouch is $8.97, 7 oz tub $23.60, and a 14 oz tub $43.66. Klompen Kloggen is an unique tobacco blend unlike any other.

I have never heard of it. Do you have any more info, Lady M? It is unique and awesome. I love it and hubby likes the smell. When I smoke it at the lounge it always catches the guys' attention and they ask what I'm smoking. From the website: KLOMPEN KLOGGEN (Aromatic) In the Holland tradition a mild, quality tobacco with no bite and a pleasing aroma. Hand blended using high grade shag burley, Virginia bright, Virginia long cut, #10 Virginia, Carolinas, Connecticut shade grown leaf, and Turkish yenidje. sterlingtobaccoco.com/1776_2.html

Is KK good you ask? Lady Margaret sent me a sample about a month or so. It’s got Virginias, cigar leaf and Yenidje, the holy grail of Oriental leaf. It has a nice flavor, and nice room note . Yes it’s good. Thank you for letting us know.

We can get it here in the uk but only in 100g tins, I think. That makes it a bit off putting for me in case I don't like it.

That would make a great BOM. Not many people have tried it. It’s readily available and a two ounce bag with shipping is $12.

Mailing a check for 2 1/2 oz. shortly. Been awhile since I had this blend. One of the last Independent blenders and worthy of the community's patronage.

OMG.....Just what I need is to try another blend to enjoy. As if I don’t have enough tobacco’s. From what I’ve read within this thread it’s a blend I must try. Thank you for posting Lady M 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I remember saying recently......do not try any more new to me tobacco’s!!! That didn’t last long. I figure it this way......my John Patton’s Crossroads is no longer available ( as if I don’t have enough already ) I need another fine blend to get hooked on!

Ever since I joined here my tobacco acquisition has sky rocketed. You've gone down the rabbit hole, @lonecoyote. There's no going back.

So true! For almost 50 years I’ve been down that hole, and it’s one I can’t find my way out of....lol. I have enough blends to last a lifetime, but I still buy more when I see another blend I might enjoy. Recently tried the new Mac B’s Burley Flake.......it was good.....worth the price......but still my favorite is Solani ABF. This new Mac B release needs a few years of aging, just my opinion. Taste is okay now with roughly an hours worth of air drying. I tend to prefer my tobacco’s on the drier side, around a 10% moisture level as opposed to 13%, what most see as the perfect moisture level for tobacco. I find the higher the moisture level of a blend is usually when I get that old tongue snake bite. Y’all have had that happen a few times in your lifetime I’m sure.

If I haven't said it before, I'll say it again. A tobacco with a great name like that, I simply have to try. It's not available here in Denmark, so maybe I should order some from the US and hope it sails under the radar of the Danish Customs or maybe I could try the UK.
Thanks for posting the link, M'Lady.

It might be easier if it came from the UK, but ordering it from USA might work out cheaper.
