I waited 3 days till Sunday, after I got my new Stanwell, to break it in with a new tin of Presbyterian. Its a $228 Hans Christian Anderson Calabash dual stem system the short bent one and the long churchwarden. Today I used the churwarden stem to go with my wizard persona. I plan to only smoke it on Sundays, and with only Presb in the bowl. I figure thats the best way to keep it sweet and aside, and way less used than my other 4 pipes over $70 in my rotation, then another 5 pipes in a drawer all under $60 bucks. So far I have cleaned it 3 times today, After each smoke. Sorry I can't post a pic yet. Learning to do it here on this group format is even a challenge for this wizard.

Breaking in this pipe was a pleasure. I had that new car feeling while smoking it. And now after smoking in it I gota take it to the car wash....for the 4th time today. It felt good in my hands and was easy to clean. I am going to wait to use the short bent stem, since I am a churchwarden guy, though it does look really great as a hanger. I had a good chance to really taste the Presby in a new quality pipe. So now my tongue knows what to look for. lol It is rusticated, so (as I read) it does not burn ones hand like the smoothies do. But today, I noticed it getting a bit hot, so I parked her in the shade to cool down. Then after about 10 minutes I fired her up again. Cools quickly. Very light in the hand. I just had 8 oz's of Preby. match show up in the mail. I figure between that and the regular Presby, I should be able to burn the Presby taste right into the whole pipe and keep it there. This will be my first attempt, at using only one tobacco in the same pipe. Hope it tastes as clean and good as it sounds.

Sound like a match made in heaven - presbyterian mixture in a Stanwell.

Definitely a great combination. I also dedicate pipes to certain blends, and my cheap Cobs to GHOSTING Lakeland blends.
