Me too! For the pipe person, there is so much to like about them: the history, the materials, the workmanship, the designs, etc.

Finally heard the legendary "don't you have enough" pipes/tobacco/guns/ammo. Thinking about breaking something (not pipes/tobacco/guns/ammo) so I'll have a reason to buy more tools.

Yup, I totally agree! Pipes, I love them....Briars, Morta, Meerschaums, Falcons, my old restored Vikings and my recently restored KIRSTEN that looks like new, and of course Cobs. Especially some of my own custom made Cobs. I recently made a reverse Calabash Oom Paul style Cob, excellent smoker. I need to learn how to post pictures on here and if I can use Imgur on this forum. Or is there an easier way???
If you own a Kirsten pipe, take a look at some of Don Warrenโs custom made bowls for Kirsten pipes. I own 4 custom made bowls and all are great smokers, superbly crafted. Well worth the price! I have NO affiliation with the maker, I just spread the news when I find an outstanding craftsman that sells his goods at a very reasonable price.
Im sure there are a number of members within this forum thatโs made themselves some great smoking pipes. Looking forward to seeing some pictures.

There IS something about a pipe that takes me back about 30 years. I love the way they bring me back to a slower-paced time when it wasn't all about the technology.

Yup, me sitting on the front porch enjoying a bowl of Bayou Night on a cool day. I enjoy this blend with at least 2 years of aging. The pipe Iโm smoking is an HS Studio Poker pipe which I won new on eBay a few years ago. Cost me $23.55 shipped. Itโs a good smoker that can make clouds of smoke.

I have better relationships with my few pipes than I do with people. Each pipe behaves differently and I've learned how to treat it in order to get my desired results. When I chose one, I know what to expect out of it. If I treat it right, it does the same for me.
People... not so much haha ๐

I am sending him an old gourd calabash for a morta bowl as soon as I get a chance. He works wonders with morta.

Thanks, Ted. It is a great little smoker. Don has a unique style. I want one of his pipes that have a section of antler in the stem.

Pipes. I got bit my the eBay bug. 7 pipes in the last week. Almost all need restoring. I kinda like the idea of getting cheap workable pipes, and putting my own spin on them. Maybe rusticating, maybe sanding and restaining. Who knows?
