When my sister said she was dating a new guy, the first question I asked was, does he have a job? Oh yes, he's a sculptor!
Ok, great; no job, but then I saw some and found out he was in museums. His specialty is life-sized 50s and 60s famous people in period dress. He's the only one licensed by the James Dean family to make James Deans. Well, I was going through my imgur pics and found some of his sculptures. He can do pretty much anything. Couple of his bronzes:
Then a couple of his life-size people, Mary something and not sure who the guy on the right is (kidding). The Einstein head is on a REAL HUMAN SKULL! and isn't creepy at all. He has another head cutaway in the Peabody museum. The dog bust was a commission. So yeah, not a guy without a job after all...

Outstanding.......he’s extremely talented. Stunning pieces of Art, you can see all the detail work. My ex- brother-in- law lives in Albuquerque and is a fairly well known Sculptor. His name is Frank Morbillo Jr. Maybe your brother-in- law heard of him.

He can work in pretty much any medium, and is the guy you call if you have a hole in your roof, or want new cabinets installed. When I helped them move to their current house, we spent some time carrying in life-sized headless bodies and severed limbs and such, and I was really hoping his neighbors were peeking out the window.
I would be pretty certain he knows Mr. Morbillo

Not really. They moved up to the Oklahoma border, I'm SW of Dallas. It's a loong, boring, straight road with construction zones and places you have to navigate like this picture, called the Mixmaster by locals, which is your clue to avoid it anytime around closing. If you need to orient yourself, notice Dealey Plaza just north of center. Now everyone will know where this is

I recall that area ... spent some quality time at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls.

Doug does some quality work too. My bro only does a few bronzes, most of his stuff is the creepy life size people, but he makes his living making custom handgun grips.

That's an art. I'm impressed. I wish I could do something like that, but nope. I haven't got the Genes.

Here's James Dean's hands from an early figure he made when he was nineteen. These are carved from scratch and painted. No lessons of course.
Here's what I was doing at nineteen:

I talked to the guy working on it, he told me the name of the gallery, but I cannot recall. The other day a guy was working with a torch on what appeared to be a life size WWII soldier wearing an overseas cap, it was green in color, with a ready to go patina on it.
