I haven't been able to log on to Pipesmagazine.com for a couple of days. Neither my or my wife's computer will log on. Is it just us, or is there a problem with their site? Thanks for any help.

I tried the site from here...looks ok to me. Website and forum work fine (although it said the site wasn't secure. Maybe their certificate has expired and your browser is set not to allow sites with expired certificates).

They have had issues in the past with some members not being able to login. They usually rectify the problem within a few days. Good luck

Yesterday was the end of Net Neutrality. Maybe your ISP decided that tobacco wasn't appropriate for you.

I got no message from them, but when I try to log on to their site, nothing happens but after a minute or so I get a notice from Safari saying that the the page failed to open and that the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. I'm not sure what server they're talking about theirs or mine. Not a lot of tech experience here...

Try another computer on a different ISP. If you can see the page, then login. If it won't let you log in, the sword of Damocles may have dropped

maybe cause I keep it in "favorites", have for years. Also cause OS: WIN7, Browser: IE. have been told some of these latest modern things not always 100% accurate. Forget Chrome....techie installed it awhile back, found no line for web address at the top to do copy/paste things. Can't reply to anything at PM cause I don't use these fancy dancy passwords. Can see all the messages 'tho.

Not sure if this is pertinent to the discussion at hand, but my Tech coach app put this in my inbox, sounds urgent.

So BT isn't sure if my router is affected. Great! Thanks for giving me the heads up, trailboss.

Many thanks to everyone for the advice! I really didn't know what to do first, but while was dithering about I suddenly am able to log onto the site now. I have no idea what happened, but after nothing for 3 days, now everything is normal. (well as normal as it gets for me) My computer must have heard me say luddite under my breath...

If they ban someone with the same ISP it's usually to stop someone from resetting. Then later they make it specific and you're back on. Not sure if that was the case, but a little info. When I was banned they banned my MAC number (nothing with Macintosh) that is a specific number to your equipment. It could be your computer specifically, but in my case was a router. One way around this (good info ahead) is to plug the network wire directly into your modem, bypassing the router. Your Modem will have a different MAC number. If things go well, then you know what happened. If it's worth it you can change a router. I only changed mine because I had to.
