Just call me strange..My wife does..She says I think too much. This morning when I was sitting in my chair smoking my first bowl of this Monday I started thinking about what if we didn't have certain plants. Potatoes,Beans,Corn,Wheat,Rice. And the big one. What if there was no Tobacco..Maybe my wife is right. She usually is.

We wouldn't eat those things or be smoking anything. Nuff said!

You're in good company @ - I think WAY too much. Still, interesting question. I suppose we'd find something else to smoke. The way the FDA are going we might have to anyway.

Ireland did without potatoes for a time. I wouldn't want to have to go through that. But it could happen. Nature is funny that way, and she is getting fed up with her treatment.

It is really an amazing thing, when you consider all the varieties of tobacco planted all over the world. The human impact on the tobacco plant over the centuries has been amazing, and to the good as far as the plants themselves are concerned. Its a sure bet of all the plants, tobacco is very unlikely to go extinct.
That and coffee.
Though, truth is, the tobacco plant does its part to be a great smoke.
