Absolutely. It's the only way to get all the flavour. A third of my exhaling is done entirely through my nose and the rest is a partial combination of mouth and nasal. Unless you're smoking an aromatic, it's impossible to appreciate a blend without involving the olfactory.

I don't have to blow wine out my nose to get all of the flavor, why would I have to blow smoke out my nose? I can smell it and get the flavors just fine without irritating the hell out of my nasal passages.

Lol ... wine tasters don't blow the wine out of their noses. However, they do aerate the wine in their mouth and snork that air to capture more nuances and flavors. Same for coffee tasters and most others.

I probably retrohale one outta every ten or so puffs, but that's a complete guess. I'm sure I do it more on blends I really enjoy doing it with.

Usually once per bowl, but have been practicing on cigars, as it doesn't come naturally to me.

About once every five minutes. Some blends bother me on the retro-hale (John Cotton #1) and I can't do it with any cigar and never got much out of it from one anyway. But things like 1Q and some of the English/Orientals are fabulous on the retro-hale.

You are not just tasting the smoke, you are tasting the flavors that the smoke leaves behind, probably more so than the smoke. It is the same with food and drink. You don't have to physically put the substance into your nasal cavity to smell it. The residual essence does the job.

Come on guys a spork goes in your mouth, with either something liquid or solid, it doesn't go in your throat or your nose. I guess you could use a spork for wine or coffe but why?! Lol Jk
I didn't realize the name for it, but yes I do. I use the breath method, so I usually snork every five or six breaths if the tobacco offers up extra by doing so. If it burns my nose or doesn't do much for flavor, I obviously snork less. I think it's just yet another nuance of pipe smoking that boils down to preference. But if you can do it, or want to try I say yes, you will only learn something new. Snork or not it's about enjoyment and appreciation. Appreciation for the opportunity to have a tasty bowl, and the time available to have a slow relaxed contemplative burn. In my opinion... Enjoy the day pipers!
