I got my pipes back from Classic Pipes and Repair. Tony did a great job. Farthest left is a BBB. Going clockwise, we have a Comoy's Blue Riband that was chewed by a dog, but was worth saving for my rotation, then a large no name Danish with beautiful straight grain and finally a big, big Jobey that had a busted screw in stem. Now it is a push in type. All turned out great.

All great lookers. The Danish one is really nice.
I'm going over to my uncle's later with a bag full of 4 estates, and we're gonna work on spiffing them up.

I may have time for a really long smoke later. Thinking of smoking the large Danish pipe. I can fit my whole thumb in that bowl. My thumbs are pretty big. Would you guys smoke a Balkan, English, Vaper, Burley forward or Virginia Forward blend or an aromatic?

Sounds like you described a wide chamber, for me Iβd smoke my favorite flake well rubbed in that Danish beauty πππ

I would fill that big Danish with a light English blend or a broken flake sort of English (like Drucquer & Sons Blairgowrie or John Aylesbury Own Mixture). But I would grab that little bulldog first and stuff a Virginia flake in it. Sorry--but I really do like that bulldog. She is a beauty.

I have been thinking the little bullodog would really work well with OGC.

Those look great Don.
Makes me feel a little guilty about the dozen or so I've got sittin on my desk waitin for their turn at being refurbed and smoked again.

Last night, I decided to clean up a few estate pipes while watching Sherlock, now I can smoke them. I do have a batch that needs to go off to Mike Myers, I have a great looking GBD missing a stem, he knows how to do them right.. right down to the rondelle.

Nice collection. Love restored pipes. Imagine the experiences the owner has enjoyed in life. Quality of many βestateβ pipes far exceeds that of many of todayβs new pipes.
