This was the first blend I ever smoked way back in 1971. I smoked aromatics for almost 20 years. Then one day a friend gave me a bowl of Frog Morton and I fell in love with Latakia. This Fathers Day my son brought me 3 different blends. One of them was BCA. I hadn't smoked it in several years.I smoked 3 bowls today. It smokes good and cool.Compared to Latakia though it just doesn't have much taste..I will be 76 soon so I don't know how much longer I will be around smoking pipes. However long that is though this blend won't be my go to blend.

Yes, once one becomes a lataholic, nothing else quite does it, except ODF.

Young or old, no point spending time with something you don't enjoy, but more especially as we age I find I have no time for the "meh"'s in life.

I don’t enjoy smoking BCA ( Black Cavendish ) straight, never did. I use it in some of my blends. My motto...if you have a blend that burns fast/hot add some BCA and that will do the trick....smokes cool and smooth. Your right though....no real flavor if smoked by itself!!!

I've smoked pounds of it solo and/or mix. It's the Gold Standard for how to formulate a black cav, which is reflected in its consistent high volume sales.

It does wonders to some of my home blends made from whole leaf; it tones them down and makes them mellow. It dilutes the nicotine strength too.
