Very touching video, thanks for sharing Don. My Dad was a Marine during WWII, his division was the first to beach on Guam. He never liked to talk about the battle or his bravery. From Guam it was off to Eniwetok & Kwajalein Islands. Growing up with an Ex-Marine was no picnic. My Mom told me many years ago that my Dad slept with his bayonet under his pillow for many years at home. He definitely suffered from PTSD, but years ago it was not yet diagnosed. He was one tough man!

Great Story, my Fathers brother in the army fought from Africa to Germany, came back a little weird, never told anyone about his war, fast forward to the early 60s I went in the Navy, went to S Asia on special missions, got shot, came back and went to my Grandfathers farm to decompress. Uncle showed up one day, we went for a walk on the Headland, there he told me in Germany he got trapped in a foxhole, water up to his waist with a dead German, couldn't get out as there was a sniper in a bell tower, he stayed 2 days in there until Patton and his tanks blew the bell tower up. He was wounded and got sent to England. Special people I goarrounte.
