After a couple cups of coffee in the morning, ice tea and beer is pretty much it for this cowboy afterwards regardless of the weather.

Cool water and a lot of it. Once in a while a glass of sweet tea.
90% of my liquid consumption in the summertime is water. The other 10% is mostly coffee.

We set out a glass container and make herbal sun-tea all summer long ... poured on lots of ice with some squeezed lemons.

I used to drink a lot of Iced tea, I have really throttled back and drink more water throughout he day and generally have a couple zipfizz's added to a couple bottles of water for flavor, occasionally a Gatorade slushy. Tea, coffee, beer, alcohol act as diuretics and really wring the liquid out of you. A few beers, or a cocktail or two, or iced tea at night.

Almost a gallon of decaf iced tea daily. Once in awhile I have coffee when enjoying Ted’s company at a local donut shop. Not many things are better that talking with a good friend over a cup of coffee with a really good donut on the side. This followed by both of us enjoying a great blend in a favorite pipe afterwards. We may be getting old but the years have taught us how to enjoy life. ☕️ 🍩 AJ

I am enjoying life a lot better since I backed off the diuretics, if I lived somewhere else, that might not be such a factor, but with an average of 299 sunny days per year, and temperatures routinely in the triple digits in an arid climate, there is no substitute for water. My liquid intake is actually less... I was drinking about a half gallon of tea per day also.
A lot of people from other parts of the nation where humidity is more the norm, suffer from heat stroke when visiting the valley of the sun and are medevac’ed routinely out of canyons, trails, and in town.
Prior to me wising up, my urine was probably closest to #6 on the chart, and I feel much better at the end of the day now... location, location, location!

So far today, I've seen brown, green and orange urine as well ... good times here at the Lab!

Mmmm... first Arnold Palmer I've had in months. Would have been nice when I was cutting grass in the 97 degree heat earlier.

Have a wonderful evening, Ted

For the most part, cold water is what I drink a lot of in the summer. But I also drink a lot of iced tea, diet Coke or Pepsi, Mountain Dew.

Got home from a hot day running electrical lines in an attic and the AC is blowing hot air. Not good when the heat index is currently 104 right now. If the ac man cant get here its gunna be a long night.
*1st world problems*
I do have a roof over my head, running water and a meal tonight. For that I am very thankful.

Hope your a/c is repaired promptly, it would be like living/sleeping in HELL. When I had my home central a/c was installed but I kept a back up window a/c in the garage for any emergency. It paid off twice 👍

I would buy a window unit and camp out in the bedroom, Craigslist and offer up may yield some really inexpensive ones to get you over the hump.

I can tough it out for the night if need be. AC man said he had 4 calls to tend to before this one but he'd do his best to get here. Longer than 1 night and I'll pick up a window unit for sure.
Of all the construction/remodeling work I do, I do not do HVAC... go figure.

I cool my house with a window mounted portable evaporative cooler with fan. Works well enough but uses lots of water. Humidity, outdoors, ranges from 3 to 27 per cent during june. So this kind of cooler is efficient.

It's ice water or soda with crushed ice for me, although I try to limit the soda consumption.

With my medical condition I can't do without A/C. Got a generator and a window unit should the power go off or during a hurricane and no power for several days. Got to be prepared or suffer the consequences.
Drink? Coffee and some more coffee and in the evening...maybe coffee.

Temp inside the house maxed at 88 8:37pm... ac man just showed up.
