There are so many great tobaccos to choose. For me I would choose my everyday smokes:
Carter Hall Amphora Original Blend (Brown)

A steady diet of designer blends would be too much for me. From your post, Carter Hall would be just fine and Sutliff Match Ready Rubbed is vying for a top spot the more I smoke it.

This would seem to make the most sense. I love many great premium blends, I.E. FVF, WhiteKnight, etc. But I lose interest when I smoke them multiple times a day and nothing else. I would choose Amphora Original and Pegasus.

Sam ^^^^^^^^^^^ I find the Amphora Original an extremely enjoyable tasty smoke! It’s worth every penny, just wish they sold it in bulk and it’s as good as the pouch version 👌👍

Kind of where I am at.
Even though I am set for life, when I see blends repeated as favorites, generally they are good to go for me and then I realize that I haven’t tried them nor possess them. An enabling bunch of critters on this forum, that are out to drain my wallet.... it’s a conspiracy!

Can I change mine already? roadsdiverged That’s funny because I was going to do the same until I read your post. @lonecoyote I think I would pick Sutliff Match ERR instead of C&D Pegasus.

I really had to think about this for a bit.The 2 tobaccos I have chosen are 1Q and Main Sail. The 1Q because its just a good all around tobacco and the Main Sail because it's not an over powering blend.

I've discovered so many great blends in the last couple years that this is now a harder question, but for almost 20 years I HAD whittled my occasional smokes down to 2 blends, so I've gotta stick with them:
1. GLP Caravan 2. Mac Baren Scottish Mixture.

Hmm that’s tough.
Probably Presbyterian and Blood Red Moon. That should be sufficiently different.

To choose from that were available, what two would you not want to do without? These two cover all the bases for me: John Patton’s Storm Front & John Patton’s Crossroads With my two choices I can create a third blend which smokes outstanding: Storm Front 75% to Crossroads 25%. I know 4 pipe smokers that are now addicted and really enjoy this blend. HH Vintage Syrian (HH Balkan mix if we're talking availability as being accounted for), and Virginia #27 by McClelland. Which I'm about to run out of :/

I have a few tins of vintage Syrian, some I will use to blend and three tins I’m sending to a friend from NY for the holidays 👍👍

In the "old" days first choice would have been Royal Yacht but sadly, those days are over! Now I'd have to go with OGS and Arango's Balkan supreme. Still looking for a Va with the complexity of RY!

Dunhill early morning pipe and Cornell and Diehl pirate cake but that's only because I'm going to sneak in a whole bunch of pouches of by brothers that nobody knows about

An easy number one for me would be McClelland's Yenice Agonya. Number two is more like a ten way tie, but today it'll be McCranies Red Flake.

I have simple tastes. My two would be Carter Hall and Captain Black Royal. Of course, CH could easily be replaced by Squadron Leader. Oh, darn, that's three. Oh,well, rules can be bent ( I hope, lol).

I guess I've tried enough blends in my limited time piping so I'll go with Candy Corn and GLP Quiet nights.
