Welp I used the parfait concept that described and came up with one of my own and let me tell you....that was "TOBACCO PORN" I created! I used four of my favorite things in this and I am down to my last 3 bucks in my wallet because I had run to the smoke shop for half of it. I used Frog on the bayou...McCl 25th ani...a Hemingway short story maduro and a fuente 858 maduro to make this ... started off with just a pinch of frog in the bottom of the bowl..then about 3/8 inch of the Hemi Maduro sliced and rubbed out..next more frog..then about 3/8 inch of the 858 sliced and rubbed out then topped with the 25th anniversary blend... It was smokey..it was peppery..it was spicy...it made me happy to smoke this pipe and even happier knowing I will be smoking this again tonight at work on BOTH of my breaks! I think I will do my best guess and figure out how much of each pipe tobacco I used and add it to the cigars i am about to cut up and put in a jar and age this fine creation!

Sounds like a bold experiment, Mike. Glad to hear it's working for you.

Sounds like a bold experiment, Mike. Glad to hear it's working for you. I have seen cigar leaf blends but never pulled the trigger on one yet...I still may not pull the trigger if this works out well for me!

Sounds like you got a real winner there! Keep up the adventure!!! If you really like a cigar leaf foundation in a blend, I very highly recommend C&D Billy Bud. The cigar leaf is just enough of an under-layment to let you know it's there in support of the rest of very high quality leaf. I love the stuff!

In connection with cigars and pipe tobacco , I tried chewing on some Cigar leaf but I was not sure whether it was counterfeit , a Cuban La Paz ! I tried for the first time. Also for the once I tried some cigarette tobacco in a little wood tube I made until I got some papers, cannot get the hang of rolling them....some Golden Virginia, never tasted a cigarette since I turned green and nearly vomited trying a cigarette as a young school kid I was not a young Huckleberry Finn at all in that respect, but it was very sweet and intense, rather like a vodka compared to a pipers whisky, perhaps. But on your post I will mix the Golden Virginia with some pipe blend.

I have been reading your posts about the cigar leaf and decided to try a home blend,,thanks for the inspiration!
