Here is a good example of how you should be very careful in what you say,do,or share. In another thread here at TBP, scrooge offered to share a bit of Dunhill Nightcap with me.I was and am extremely grateful for this.I do really enjoy Nightcap.I was hesitant because for several reasons I'm on the lower end of the income scales. But James kind of hit the right buttons,I know that I enjoy sharing this wonderful pastime and am always looking fo ways to subvert wayward acquaintances. So I want to say a HUGE Thank You to scrooge,James and his Mrs for the very generous gift. Now to why one should take care, I expected something like this A manilla envelope. Perhaps something like this, But what came was jaw dropping, I don't know just how to Thank You James,The Mrs has already pronounced the Amphora more than Exceptional.

It would be a better world if we had more folks like that. Needless to say the Scrooges are misnamed.

This is one of the reasons I wanted to join with this crew. The generosity of pipers all over is just amazing. Like Matthew I too am on the lower end of the income level. My buddy AJ has overwhelmed me with tobacco at times...out of the goodness of his heart. This trait seems to run through most pipers. We have a generosity of heart that is hard to find, just "because". Regardless of financial orientation the goodness just continues through one and all. Pipers are a special "breed" if you will.
Good on you, Mr. Scrooge.

I've found the pipe community here to be the most friendly, and generous, group of people I have came across. I've seen this happen a few times on this forum.
Very nice package Matthew. I hope you enjoy every bit of it.
Good on you Scrooge! May the pipe gods bless you.

James' handle is as totally misnamed as one of my favorite tobaccos, Mac Baren Latakia Blend. Nothing Scrooge about him, just salt of the earth dude. Glad y'all were able to hook up. Enjoy the smokes.

I am currently enjoying (Thoroughly) Borkum Riff Black cavendish in a figural meerschaum.it's been years since I've had this blend.(A while back peteguy shared some bourbon blend that was aged since 1970's.)Little bit of bite if you smoke too fast but I really like the taste. It's getting more difficult to get the OTC blends. I had to go to four Walgreens to find Captain Black. Thank You, scrooge ! A Very thoughtful gift.

The taste was mostly wood smoke and bready, nice combo. It was the first time for me,but not the last.Have to try it in a briar next, the a cob.See how the different pipes change the flavor.

That was a very generous gift, thank you to James. It's really nice to see that the generosity Gene has not been completely eradicated by the selfish douchebag gene
