What blend do you take with you whenever you leave your house and why?
My take along blend is Half & Half. I like the taste, it packs and lights easily, hardly any relights, and the cut allows it to flow easily from my squeeze type tobacco pouch. It always satisfies while producing large volumes of smoke and most people, when exposed to the room note, are pleased.

I'll take along whatever I'm smoking at the time. At the moment I'm travelling with Match Presbyterian and am satisfied.

Same here, as a trucker I am consantly on the super slab....anything I open travels with me. Currently some Old companion, Rattray's Marlin Flake, cockstrong, and Peterson's Perfect Plug.

I jarred it in half pint containers not really with the intent to age it becase it is good to good out of the box...having said that, some of it will have age on it before I get around to dusting it all off. I had just bought a pound, should have bought a bale.

On those long trips from the bedroom to the living room I take one of my pipes, as the living room has many blends awaiting me I have a pencil case in my car which has 2 pipes and a couple of half pouches of tobacco. At the minute there is some cube and some orange dream in it. I rarely use that setup as I have my pipe at home more often than not. If I'm going on vacation, I take that along with 2 or 3 tins. That'll be more than enough for the time away. I would, at most, have one bowl every evening if I'm lucky.

I have a cob and some tobacco in my truck for an emergency smoke. My travel pouch has two pipes and two blends of whatever I happen to put in there. It can be anything I have open.

When I go back to my son’s this Monday where I live my venturing days will be over!

...usually carry 2 to 3 pipes in the car and pouches of CH and PA...sometimes, I will also take whatever I'm smoking in the house out into the car...depends on what I'm smoking at the time...

OGS, Dunhill Flake and Mac Baren Vanilla Cream. Completely dependable smokes and the last is friendly to others.

Swr is normally in the truck and I tend to smoke the hell out of a cob or two at a time when traveling they handle the abuse gracefully and a burn out of a 10 to 15 dollar pipe isn't going to make the bank account cry as much as burning out one of my briars would.

I leave some cobs in the glove compartment, and a couple of unopened boxes of Carter Hall.
If its a long trip for work I will take my whole kit, with whatever i have been smoking, Billy Budd Blonde most likely.

Depends where I’m going and for how long. Normally out in public say a casino I take Arrowhead, haven’t met anyone yet who doesn’t like the room note (other than one woman who when I sat down saw my Pipe, cashed out and said “stinking pipes!” Granted it’s in a casino with cigarette and cigar smoke all over AND my pipe wasn’t even lit yet) Extended trips from home for several days, I pack my 7 Pipe bag and a bunch of whatever I am smoking at the time. Always included however, is a cob with OJK or CM/CH.

Penzance, because it has me by the balls. I know you feel the need for repentance. I propose a 1 for 1 deal, Penzance for Captain Black Grape. You will feel so much better having relieved yourself from all this worldliness.

You will feel so much better having relieved yourself from all this worldliness. I implore the both of you DO NOT do this trade. First I’m a little dubious of anyone that admits to being in possession of Captain Black Grape. Second anyone that would accept it in a trade for any tobacco may be a little light in their faculties. Each of you could loose your standing among the rest of us tobacco snobs. Just saying... AJ

You can't go wrong with, SWR, CH, Old Joe, Big n Hurley. There are many good non-ago Burley blends that will fit the bill.

Well I always have a pouch that I've filled with English Luxury or C&D London Squire. Aside from that, I am known to pack a tin of C&D Billy Budd. Sometimes I can't make up my mind if I want to light up an expensive cigar fire up the briar. Billy is a nice compromise.

Amphora Original Blend (Brown). Comes in its own pouch, taste great in cob, briar or meer and has a pleasant room note.

My travelin baccy is usually a pouch of Carter Hall and a ziploc baggie of MM965.
Why?
1. I have several pouches of CH 2. I really enjoy MM965 and have several lbs of it. ;-)

Many of you know we will be visiting California in August. I'll be taking some 1Q, Squadron leader, some Shortcut to mushroom and probably some Dunhill early morning. We do plan on stopping at Monty's in Albuquerque and visiting Madrid with the happy weirdos.
