My old set up before switching over to storing my pipes in drawers. The racks are now reserved for the workhorse pipes. And yes, I kept the groovy 1970’s wood paneling in the smoke lounge. 😬

Very well organized and I like the set up👌👍 . Before I moved down South I had a room set up similarly, wood cabinets and wall pipe racks, old pictures and signs hanging all over. Here in my bedroom with limited space my everyday blends are out on a few shelves, many pipe racks and two dressers against a wall loaded with just tinned tobacco’s. A number of jarred tobacco’s on shelves. Most of my jarred blends are in Rubbermaid totes in a storage area that are numbered coinciding with Excel spreadsheets so I know where everything is at a quick glance. Oh do I miss my own home!!!

Very orderly and classy looking...
I know that I am splitting hairs, but when it is paneled halfway up, it is called Wainscot or wainscoting. I don't know if it is true, but as a kid, I was told that wainscoting was to protect the walls from chairs banging against the plaster....

It depends on how high the panelling is. At my dad's place it's only about 24" so it's absolutely pointless except for decoration. "Chair rail" moulding is to protect the walls from chair hits. Generally it goes about 30" up the wall and keeps the back of your chair from scraping up the walls.
Nice room though. Organization is always appealing to me.

Thanks, I have never seen wainscoting less than 48" or so or without the moulding on the top, it certainly gives a nice finish to the top. I suspect that it is all for decoration nowadays...it certainly provides for a nice contrast from the sheetrock.

The wainscoting lends the feel of a perfect smoking lounge. Looks very relaxing and comforting.
