Martin, your smoking an outstanding tobacco in an old Comoy’s and drinking instant coffee. That’s cause for being shot at sunrise......lol. Well, enjoy as you like👍 ...lol, too lazy to grind the French Roast beans this morning... You are aware that you can buy the coffee pre-ground? As well as pre-sliced bread. It saves all kinds of time. 🤠

Thanks, Ted. It's the only Dr. Plumb I've seen so far, where the name actually fits. There's an American pipe maker living in Denmark; making pipes with the great name "Fat Bastard" and they all are. That would most likely be the only time you’d hear me say “ I want one of those Fat Bastards “!?😜😝😂

Okay, another day trying that “ MYSTERY “ tobacco that was gifted to me......
The blend sat overnight in the MM Diplomat pipe. I went into the garage to light’er up! First 5 lights just to get the tobacco started, with plenty of puffing. That lasted less then 30 second!! So, off I go again...this time I held the flame puffing away for over 30 seconds....never in my life have I ever come across a tobacco quite like this!!! This time I actually had the pipe burning well for almost 2 minutes. Yup, it went out once again. My mistake was I stood up too fast and everything was spinning, I had to sit down immediately. It felt like my socks and pants were blown off...yup, that bad of a Nic hit. Took me a while to empty the Cob and properly clean the bowl. The rest of the blend that’s now finely chopped is now jarred and one day NEXT July I will make another attempt, hopefully this hard a$$ Blend will mellow a bit and stay lit, but if it does will I be able to walk straight afterwards...😝😜😝😜🤪🤪😂😂

After brushing my teeth twice, I need a mild smoke......one that can be pushed with no ill side effect.......
AJN #3... an excellent blend personally made by a member this forum and was generously gifted to me. Must have used a superb Burley with a light sweet Latakia. It has a Rich Dark Chocolate note with a nuttiness in the background. Absolutely NO bite if pushed. Can be an all day smoke!!👌👍
Pipe of choice: Aldo Velani smooth Pot with an Octagonal shank and a slightly bent wide stem. This briar has a stunning grain and is absolutely flawless.

Yup, AJ can blend some tobacco. I have 2 of his concoctions and they are wonderful. Butternut Burley in a bent Dublin straight grain with plateau rim by Briar Spirit Pipes.

Samuel Gawith: Perfection in a rustic Shalom bent Volcano. Coffee topped up. That’s a great smoking pipe, I use too own one as well. I gifted the pipe to a close friend back in NY. He was born in Israel and collects Alpha & Shalom Pipes, quite a collection he has with some outrageous plateaus 👍

Now smoking some of Sutliff's Edgeworth Ready Rubbed match in a pre-1980 GBD 9437 New Standard Pot with an ebonite stem. Ice water on the side.
Doing literally nothing else except reading some posts here on the forum. Trying to cool my nerves.

Heard that quote many times from my grandfather, may he Rest In Peace. Once the Brooklyn Dodgers left NY State my grandfather never watched another baseball game again, it actually broke his heart.

Haven't seen much love for this stalwart American blend in a while, so I'll do the honors: Mixture #79 and in a Medico Brylon pipe to boot!

Enjoying a bowl of C&D Engine 99 with about a year on it in my Pibe Dan tribute. Goes nicely with a glass of Reisling. Then I'm off to do more mowing before it rains again.

Nescafe Dark Roast during the week, usually be the French presses are dirty from the weekend. Up to 3 now. You do know of course, that Nescafe outsells all other coffee in the world put together, right? ...yeah, in Europe, if you say "coffee" it means "Nescafe."

Back home after running errands, and having an excellent Mexican dinner at a new restaurant. Smoked a bowl of HU Nyala in a 1970s black sandblasted slight bent Savinelli Autograph 05 Horn with a black vulcanite stem. Deciding on my next smoke.
