ted would like to see your Falcon chimneys Sir. Ah, well, I'm afraid I don't have any falcon chimneys. 2 reasons: I don't have any falcon pipes, and I also don't have a wood threading tool coarse enough.

Sorry Scrooge....just noticed your request. I’ve made a few in the past. A simple notch on the bottom of the bowl wil an O ring holds the bowl in very tight. Never had an issue with poor draft and the O rings last over a year. Common O rings found at any Home Depot or Lowe’s Hardware. I’ve posted this bowl prior on another forum after completion. Also fits on older model Falcons 👌👍

Here is a smooth briar Falcon Bowl I made a while back. Notice it’s on a much older model Falcon. Same groove and O ring system.

Thanks Ted! Have been eye balling some at GQ. Plus their prices are reasonable, the shipping might cost as much as the bowl!

OK folks. I got me a Peterson 2016 Pipe of the Year - rustic.
I love this pipe. It is like if you love a certain kind of music, and then you listen to it with headphones. The pipe just makes the taste, whatever it is, more present. And you can really distinguish the three phases of the smoke, the first third through the last third. (Like a cigar in that way. There are cigars that I love for the first and or second third, and i ditch it after that.)
Yea, like headphones, you can hear the french horns clearly, the oboe comes through.
So I am not sure what other pipes have this great chimney stack, but I may just have to get a few more, so as to avoid over using any one of them.

Thanks Ted! Have been eye balling some at GQ. Their prices are extremely reasonable but order a few items, the shipping can cost as much as a bowl. I purchased 2 Meer bowls from them and ordered other items in the past few years when Glynn was their. Excellent service and I highly recommend GQ. Oh, I purchased my Algerian bowl for my Falcon from them as well👌👍 Two weeks ago i placed a tobacco order for their blending kits. If anything interests you as far as tobacco’s, send them an email and they will respond and ship to the USA!!!

Nobody cuts threads for Falcon bowls except Falcon. The interrupted 1/4 thread will drive the best machinist nuts. Every other maker of similar pipes used a standard thread. I used to be able to buy bowls for my Grabow Vikings from Ozgur, but he cheaped out and now just sticks an O-ring on everything. One size fits all.

The bore about 20% larger than the bore on a slowroll pipe.

I just put a simple groove while still on the lathe and use a simple O ring. I’ve smoked the rusticated chimney I pictured above over 200 times and have yet needed to replace the O ring. I cup the top of the bowl and give a strong puff inwards, no sucking air at all. I’m very pleased with how mine hold up so far and smoke👌👍

I went and ordered the sandblasted version. OK I am done. Another Peterson? Yea. I got the Doris 2016 Pipe chimney/stack, in sandblasted black. I have been enjoying the rustic one so much every day since I got it. I need another so as to give it a rest. I may someday get the smooth one as well, but not this time.

I think we can all relate to this verse of the song:
