I just added two capfuls of Jameson's whiskey to this nasty stuff called Scottish mix. I didn't like the Scottish mix it smelled like cigarettes and tasted like cigarettes. Having been a Marlboro smoker for 35 years I am now the world's biggest hypocrite when it comes to cigarette smoke. I just hope I didn't waste two capfuls of Jameson's on this nasty ounce of Scottish mix.

I've never sauced up my own tobacco. Its way too easy to take it out of a can.
Is that Davidoff Scottish Mixture? Shouldn't be terrible

Shouldn't be terrible There was no manufacturer name on the jar that this stuff was pulled from all I know is this smells like cigarette tobacco smoke and that ain't my bag like I said I am a giant hypocrite and just cannot sell myself on smelling cigarette smoke. I don't begrudge anybody that smokes cigarettes to each his own Live and Let Live.

I used to add a shot of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum to my Bastard Blend, but all that did was cause a bite. The alcohol nips more than a spritz of water.Any way, it didn't help the flavor much at all,so good luck and let us know how it comes out.

Yeah so I think I watched a video on this a long time ago and don't remember much. I was never a huge fan of whiskey tobaccos - I barely smoked my way through Peterson's own Irish Whiskey tin. And I normally love their tobacco. But I seem to remember that the alcohol is cooked off first before its added to the sauce for any whiskey-based aro blends. The alcohol may be responsible for the tongue bite you are feeling.

I'm not getting a tongue bite I just don't like the flavor I figured adding Jameson's Irish whiskey to it would be a good deal because Jameson's Irish whiskey is just good stuff anybody that wants any I will give out samples as long as the Supply last PM me with your address and I will do my best to send you some

I tried making my own aromatic by blending 50/50 with black cavendish and 5100 with a topping of Praline liquor/Grand Marnier.
Let the topping sit on the bc and then married to 2 tobaccos together let them sit for a week before trying it. Not bad.

pistolpete1911.......have you tried smoking your blend? If so, what are your thoughts?
I make a pressed cake with Southern Comfort......tastes and smells pretty darn good and rubs out super easy. Also have made and smoked a bowl the other day of what I call Maple Crumbcake, nice after dinner dessert blend.

I thought I would give it about a week, flipping it twice a day like I do when I infuse whiskey. You have inspired me to light a bowl now. I'll be back in an hour.

I know I said an hour but I'm already back. I don't know much about it but my honest opinion is this stuff is way too wet to smoke right now and I think I'll let it go at least a few more days before drying under a paper towel on a tray.

Didn’t realize it was only made yesterday. In 7 to 10 days you should have an enjoyable smoke. Nothing wrong with a sample smoke today👍

If I have whiskey, I drink the whiskey. If I have tobacco, I smoke the tobacco, you ]Mac Baren’s Scottish Mixture pairs well with Jameson’s Cask mates

“ Tricks “ are for kids....guess I still enjoy playing with the mix and coming up with something different to smoke.

If I can't fix it with a little burley, Perique or cavendish, it goes in the can. Lesson learned.
