Vintage Briggs Mixture vs Sutliff Briggs Match - Mini Review

This is probably one of the closest matches to original tobacco that I have tried.
The Vintage (1936) was very perfumy on opening. It was evident in the smoke. JimInks had the answer that it was the age of the burley. I had mistaken it for Lat. After several months of having been opened the perfume died out and you're left with a very smooth VaBur, a little toasty, but the tastes are sublime... in a good way. This is one tobacco that if you can lay hold of you would be sure to like.
The Match, as I described 2 Iwan Reis Blends, is the whole being expressed by all the parts. Vintage is all the parts being represented by the whole. So with Match you'll get toast, a moment of grassy VA, but really just a wisp. Though I couldn't ID all the flavors you will sense them. The whole you get the blended flavor.
As to buying the Match, there are two thoughts I have. It's good. It's not quite as good as Iwan's Ko-Ko (stronger, too), but if you like variations on VaBur, you might like this.
Other consideration would be to buy this and jar the heck out of it, as I am sure this would age as well as the Vintage has.
I won't be personally buying more. Iwan's Ko-Ko is da bomb and when Uhle's, thanks to @10furlongs , gets back in business online there are at least 3 Burleys I will def purchase.
Best part about Match besides aging is... the cost. You can't go wrong on that point
