I know someone years ago smoked this tobacco and I did not care for the aroma. If my memory serves me correctly it’s an Indonesian tobacco.

They get this blend by scraping off the dingle berries hanging off the back of a rihno's butt, mix it with some moldy Mixture 79, then ferment it in casks formerly used to age Mad Dog 20/20 wine.
By far the nastiest, foul, obnoxious material I have ever tried smoking.
WARNING : It may ghost your pipe to the point that you will be forced to just throw it away.

penzaholic....from time to time I smoke Black Irish X, only in a Cob designated to this extra strong blend. Smells strong and should be enjoyed when far and clear away from other people. I think Tambolaka does not stink like Black Irish X. Have you ever tried smoking Tambolaka or Black Irish X?

Tambolaka was once available from 4 Noggins but they don't have it in stock now. With the new ownership, I don't know if he will pursue getting more. Smoking Tambolaka is an acquired taste. It is quite potent as regards nicotine and fetches a hefty price here in the US, that is if you can find it. If you find some, let me know.

The Brown Twists are stronger than the Black if you're going for "punch". Also, you may also want to try Mapacho from S. America and Fronto / Grabba from the Caribbean ... head spinners!

Different strokes for different folks, as I got about 4 puffs into a bowl of Tambolaka and about puked, and it ghosted my good pipe. Haven't tried Black Irish X.

I bought mine from 4noggins last year. It is a powerhouse smoke. It's rolled into ropes and then aged for several years. The stuff I got was a very coarse cut so I had to chop it before filling a pipe.

Anyone try it? Anyone know where to get some? 4Noggins had it last year, but doesn't have any at present. However, you can order it from Javan Cigars near Jakarta, Indonesia. The process is laid out by Physicsman here. I'd like to try it myself.
