I like the wavy kind. When me and the little woman lived in the Detroit area.(We were both a bit smaller back in those days).Maybe we ate too many chips.Any way back on topic. Our favorite brand of chips back then was made by a local company. They were called ..Better Made..Just read that the company has expanded and they will soon be available here in Carolina..Can't wait to see if they're as good as I remember them being..What say ye? How are you on potato chips?

Potato chips are my best friend and usually keep a bag close by, although now are reduced fat. One of my favorites use to be the the crinkle cut kettle chips sold at Costco. These chips sold faster then they could keep them on the shelves. For some reason, nobody has the answer why they’re no longer available. They are now selling in its place at a much lower price than supermarkets.....Cape Cod brand kettle chips....good but not close to the Kirkland brand. Now when I go food shopping I look for the Utz reduced fat Kettle chips...pretty darn good. Plus, I never ate a crinkle cut chip I did not enjoy!!! Now on the other hand....what’s with those ( to me ) nasty tasting Pringles chips. It’s real potatoes made in a batter, pressed then baked...don’t like them at all...but all the kids do! I use to make homemade crinkle cut chips deep fried @ 360 degree oil temp. Let dry on paper towels and your good to go....yummy👌👍👍

Potato chips (or crisps, as we call them) are my go to snack. I love all kinds, although in Ireland you can't get much better than Tayto. Their cheese and onion crisps are the best.

Zapps are the Louisianaans choice, they were bought out by a Pennsylvania Company, don't remember the name. They were originally started when in the 80s downturn in the Oil Industry by a Chemical Engineer.

Just about every Potato Chip is welcome, from Lay's regular to Cape Cod.
Lay's "Kettle Chips" are decent but a bit too greasy.
I do not eat them often becuase I tend to finish the bag. There is no stopping some of us.
Fond memories of Lipton Onion Soup mix combined with sour cream. That dip seems excessive these days.

Mixed with a well drained can of minced clams, maybe a bit of clam juice👍

I like kettle-style potato chips. Have had them by a number of makers, but probably most often by Lay's. Just bought a bag of the Jalapeno kettle chips by Lay's today.

Hee, hee, Burt Lahr, the cowardly lion. I like potato chips, mostly Wavy Lays, and their Salt and Vinegar Kettle chips. Doesn't do my blood sugar much good though.

Charlie^^^^^^^^^^^when I was young I remember they delivered door to door weekly.....what a fabulous chip it was, and fairly cheap. Those were the days they still delivered bread and milk. Charles Chips lasted a few years longer!!!

Yeah... seeing little Oscar in the Oscar Mayer weinermobile pissed me off.
My great grandad was a Trailboss in the West, I figured that at the very least I would command the reins of the Charles chip mobile... legacy denied!

Kroger and Aldi store brand chips are excellent, and half the price of the big brands. We quit buying chips because they go too fast. We just keep Fritos for Frito pie.

These are truly great...when I can't find Charles I go with Lay's Classic Chip. No sandwich is complete without chips!

Plain ol' Lays for me. But if a bag of Ruffles sour cream and cheddar show up. I can make them disappear in a heart beat.
When I have a salt craving, peanuts are my "go to." ESPECIALLY boiled peanuts.

Well of course boiled peanuts...I too remember eating my fair share of boiled peanuts while living in Georgia......your from Georgia now.....the State of Jimmy Carter.....whom I happened to like! Many say he was our “ worst “ President.....I definitely don’t agree! I can name at least a dozen that top Ex President Carter.....one that recently left office! Not going any further with this....don’t want this thread 🔒 locked 🔒!!!

I told him that when Carter was president, it was so bad that we decided not to have children. He owes his life to Reagan.

ronv69^^^^^^^^that I’d have to agree. Also, President Reagan was the BEST President of our time!!!! Carter’s biggest accomplishment in office was the The Camp David Accords were signed by Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin. But at the end where did it get President Sadat, a man of Peace.
PS We better get back to Potato chips....sorry....OP!
