Cojones Grandes!! There's a fine line between bravery and sheer lunacy ... best of luck Travis!

Thanks, Charlie. I turned on minutes before the first jump. I got to see Evel in 1973 or 4. He wasn't out to set a record or die. He did thirteen pickups.

I've followed him for a while now. Always been a fan of 2 wheels but I stopped at bicycles, they hurt enough. I know what would have happened if I didn't stop then. Hes a hell of a driver of all sorts. This is gunna take a little bit of insanity, big huevos, and a lot of skill... all things that he has.

I could do that with my pickup truck if I had someone to hold my beer.

Now if he was doing it on the vintage bikes... he'd be an idiot, but it would be a spectacle. Gotta admit, the guy has some serious skills to even attempt such things.

I don't have access to the show, just saw him standing next to a tricked-out modern bike. Maybe I should have used "ballsy as all hell" instead of "idiot", but sometimes it's a fine line.

He has done a heck of a job on the landings, he would be the first to say that he stands on the shoulders of Evel....from what I see, he is quite a humble guy...albeit, ballsy as all hell!

How people get the balls to do stuff like this I'll never know. Fair play to them, though.

As I recall, Evel rode a HD XR750. Powerful bike but not as light as what is made today, I am guessing.
The XR 750 was my dream!

The Scout FTR 750 is what he rode...Three separate, all built the same as I recall. Three times the auction value on a notable day in motorcycling! Scroll down for pics... www.indianmotorcycle.com/en-us/travis-pastrana-evel-jump/

I got to see Robby Knievel at Texas Motor Speedway for an IRL race. He jumped 23 IRL cars (the number of cars on the track) in the infield. Fortunately, it wasn't very dramatic

“To each his own” Though I enjoy watching others do these things I’ve never had the desire. I would rather get my excitement on one of the lazy creeks off the Roanoke River fishing and landing a 9 pound 1 1/4 oz. large mouth bass. That really gets my heart thumping especially when one of the many water snakes falls out of a tree into your boat. 😱
