The Richmond CORPS show will be Saturday, Sept. 29. The day before that, Sutliff is having a really cool event at their factory for those who want to sign up for it, too.
FACTORY TOUR EXTRAVAGANZA Friday, September 28, 2018 Inaugural Factory Tour Event 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Sutliff Tobacco Company 600 Perdue Avenue
Richmond, VA 23224
We are very excited about this weekend full of pipe lover events in collaboration with the Conclave of Richmond Pipes Smokers (CORPS). Have you ever been curious about where tobacco comes from, how it is processed, blended and packaged? Have you ever wanted to see and experience the life cycle of tobacco once it has been harvested and ready for processing? If so, you will definitely want to join us as we take you through the “Traditional Pipe Tobacco; Journey to Market” tour. Come see our factory in motion, test some new products and make your own tin of tobacco during our blending seminar (nominal fee of $1.00 will apply). We will even throw in some lunch.
Then, take time to enjoy the pipe club event we have all been waiting for: The Pipe Smoker’s Gathering on Saturday. Must be at least 18 to attend tour and seminar. To register for this free factory event go to www.eventbrite.com/e/sutliff-tobacco-factory-tour- blending-seminar-premarket-launch-trials-tickets- 47559494729 Space is limited, so reserve your spot now. Then, take time to enjoy the pipe club event we have all been waiting for: The Pipe Smoker’s Gathering on Saturday.

Thanks for posting Jim, wish I could attend. This will be a wonderful event for any pipe and tobacco enthusiast. Wonder if I can sell my right & left one on eBay to be able to rent a Limo to get their. If possible take some pictures so you can post them on the Patch and share them with those that can’t make it. Have a wonderful time, you deserve a break👌👍

I'd love to go to this, but no chance. I hope some of the Sutliff haters go along and learn somethin'.

There is a dizzying array of tobaccos offered by Sutliff.
I am partial to their Balkan Luxury Blend 957. What are your favourite Sutliff blends?

I wish I could make it, that is really nice of Sutliff/ MacBaren to do so. Plus, the ONLY reason they’re charging the $1.00 fee to make your own blend is “ our government made it against the law to give tobacco samples “, therefore it’s a $1.00 and not free samples!!! Good on Sutliff 👍👍👍

Ladies and Gentlemen, Sutliff put on a mini-version for the CORPS of this day they have planned for everyone. YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME THERE! You'll see how they "process" tobaccos, hogsheads and bales of stored tobaccos, packaging, etc. but the most fun will be blending your own "most wonderful blend ever"! or two of them! AND they're hiring food trucks to keep you going thru the day! So, if you're going to be in town for the CORPS Pipe Smokers' Gathering - just come a day earlier - and have this once in a lifetime opportunity!
Afterwards, you'll want to slide on over to Extra Billy's BBQ patio to join the CORPS guys for BBQ (other foods available), fine house-brewed ales, some of the best apple cobbler in the South, and pipe smoking to your heart's content!
and, btw, if your spouse, partner, etc. wants to come, but not attend the pipe smoking events - a few blocks from the CORPS Gathering is Chesterfield Town Center (shopping mall), many restrauants, etc! 20 minutes drive to downtown Richmond are many historical sites, the VA Mus of Fine Arts, etc.!!! And, two hours away is VA Beach!
See y'all soon!
