Walked Pop in the dying light, puffing on one of my mini Ozarks an "eventide" mix. The weekend folks, got some cool African music on BBC Radio 3, chewing on a few mixed nuts, with a long cool chocolate milk shake. Going to crack open my new Welsh Penderyn " That Try " Peated single malt whisky, with much anticipation, looking to have my Dr. Plumb bent Dinky sandblast with my American Aromatic mix, I will finish with a Bourbon Kentucky Buffalo .....all lawful things in moderation, enjoy your weekend folks ....

Spoke to soon about it being quiet, the annual Oye African & world music festival is on in the local park , breaking the sound barrier, sitting in my yard in the shade from the sunshine , Pop basking in the heat panting away, smoking my extra long Ukraine pear Cossack with extensions, some American Aromatics mix from a small jar, finished a long cool banana milk shake, have a couple of mini Ozarks in my pocket with some mixes to add some variety. I will put my earbuds in and tune into some friendly ham chat on websdr online ham radio, and escape the drums ...enjoy folks....

Salty Dogs plug in a Mastro Beraldi bent billiard. What do you think of Salty Dogs? I have two plugs which I put under glass in their wrappers for the time being, trying to smoke down my open tins and bulk before giving it a try. Is it good enough to break the pledge? Enjoying Samuel Gawith Best Brown Flake in a Hardcastle Special Deluxe group 4 bulldog. Straight grain on this pipe is jaw dropping. Just a little bald spot and two fills on the bottom side kept this one from being a real Dunhill star. Having a glass of Spicy V-8, getting ready to transition to tea for the afternoon.

My only experience with plug tobacco to this point was Red Man many years ago. As I recall, it was quite tasty but I haven't dipped or chewed in many years. Does one just rub out the entire plug or cut off pieces? What's the best way to get going with a plug? Smoking Hearth and Home Classic Burley Kake in an MM Country Gentleman, drinking ice tea with lemon.

Ending the smoking evening with GL Pease Quiet Nights in a rusticated Caminetto Business 192, crazy 3/4 bent which will actually pass a cleaner. Listening to crickets, enjoying a shot of Woodford Reserve before bed.

Fresh Sunday morning, silvery sky with feathered blue threads. Charged my cherry Mini Ozark with my first Holger Danske Original & my maple mini Ozark with Solani W& B mix, whiffing on a Cohiba whit mini, listening to the Salvation Army album on my pocket Fire, Onward Christian Soldiers & marched forth with Pop up front...the Holger Danske Original was a pleasant surprise, like fresh hay this June morning, dry and almost nutty, a real find. Now for breakfast & coffee.

Having some more Holger Danske original traditional in the cherry mini Ozark, I have taken a shine to this blend it is a real old tobacco taste, I have put it in a black leather pouch for unmixed smoking. I am mixing my Solani White & Black with my HUBalkan Passion in a big jar , my "Double Dutch " mix, The clouds are darkening , had breakfast, and Pop is in good form. A coffee by my side and The Archers ( a long running BBC radio series of English country folk) on my DAB radio....taking in some news stories for my sins.

Puffing slowly a bit at the MM Country Gent & Holger original, had a taste & sniff of a fine reviver Buffalo Trace Kentucky Bourbon , it is akin to the Penderyn Red Flag whisky with the Madeira finish similar brewing techniques I think , but the Buffalo has a richer sweetness, I am not very knowledgeable about distilling just what's on Wikipedia & stuff.
