My first prince was hubby! lol So I was on Facebook awhile ago and I get an instant message from a fellow I'm in a FB pipe group with telling me to check my mail. I'm thinking, how does he know I haven't checked my mail??? And I hadn't. Been too busy to check mail  So I go and there was a little package with these goodies in it. This fellow restores pipes and sells them in the FB group, and another fellow occasionally buys the pipes but has him send the pipes out as gifts, and I got to be the lucky recipient of this lovely prince. It has a stinger, never had a stinger pipe before. The Cockstrong tobacco is a joke. I bought a pipe off him over a year ago and he always includes some tobacco with the pipe, he sent me a couple samples -- Haunted Bookshop (which is his favorite) and Cockstrong, which a cheeky note saying that it wasn't something I was in need of but maybe I'd enjoy it. Made me laugh, and it's been a joke between us ever since. I do like the Cockstrong though   |

I’d never send a Lady that tobacco with “ good “ intentions! Pipe was a very nice gesture, the tobacco was SENT in poor taste....JMHO

It's beautiful, M'Lady. Princes are some of the best smokers for an average length smoke with smooth draw

Sweet looking pipe and nice you can take a joke in good fun - too much PC in this world nowadays. Always good to have friends with whom to share a pipe and a laugh.

Always good to have friends with whom to share a pipe and a laugh. yes, indeed! i go with the flow at pipe club a few months ago i was showing the store owner some of my new pipes, a couple were new and one was an estate. he picked out the estate and said, "Where did you get this one? I can barely see tooth marks and I know you don't bite." And I said, "No, I don't. Well, I don't bite my pipes." He guffawed and said, "That's what I like about you, you don't get offended easily." Rule of thumb for me -- I assume no offense was meant unless it is BLATANTLY OBVIOUS it was meant that way. And it helps if you know the person. |

I did hear the term used at the gym a few times....” that kid is rooster strong “, 2 words.....meaning strong naturally without working out. I was living in Georgia when I heard the phrase/term rooster strong used for the first time. Using the 2 words I see your point. |

What a splendid gift, M'Lady. I have two Savinelli Princes and they are great smokers both. I, too, shall refrain from commenting on the tobacco's name. I'll get carried away and this is a nice forum.

Thanks for the info, Charlie, that makes a lot of sense. Helps when you understand the culture from which something comes.
Smoked it last night and it was great, a real pleasure. I smoked blackberry brandy instead of cockstrong because hubby would have griped about the smell, lol.

..."prince" is probably my favorite shape... though the they have a slight bend, I consider them "straight" pipes...
