My supply of Frog Mortons (On the Town, On The Bayou, Cellar, Across The Pond) are about to run out. Since these were basically the only blends of these types that I ever smoked, and I'm don't possess the connoisseur tasting qualities that some of you do, (nor do I have the resources to buy 100 trial blends)  , my simple question to you is what other blends might I try that might even come close to the Frog Mortons? |

You need to purchase 2 .oz of each before to sell the farm.......
Just For Him blend website look for Shortcut to Mushrooms, also 4Noggins' Owl's Head, you need to try both. You might end up cellaring the blend you prefer. I know Shortcut to Mushrooms is still available.

FWIW, I smoked some Moonshine XXX and found it to be an approximation of FM Cellar. Not exact but it could scratch the itch.

I recommend trying Peterson's Old Dublin as a substitute for Frog Morton on the Town. I consider Presbyterian Mixture, Frog Morton on the Town, and Old Dublin to be Basma "cousins". The smoke gets fuller as you move from PM to FMOT to OD. I enjoy all three, but OD is my favorite.

Scrooge is a great guy, I can tell you that much. That's a reasonable offer on that tobacco. With so many brands disappearing, its really sad. I have replaced Frog Morton Cellar with Peter Stokkebye's English Luxury.

Since you don't possess the tasting qualities of some on this place, I'm hoping that those blends that have been suggested will tick the box for you.
I don't possess those qualities either. I had some Presbyterian mixture the other day and I thought it was like emp, which I thought was like old Dublin, which I thought was like fm cellar.
They all taste the same to me. In some ways I'm fortunate... I'll rarely miss a blend that goes out of production, cos most of them taste the same as each other (with the exception of blood red moon).

C&D Cross-Eyed Cricket! This poor blend gets no respect  I don't know that it compares to any one Frog blend, but it has the characteristics of the line. It is an aromatic English. I love it  |

Ruins of Isengard seems to be no more, however, which is depressing. That was the first English blend I was ever sent and I learned it wasn't something to be scared of, lol.

Seattle Pipe Club Mississippi River is another I'd toss into the kitty. Like FMC, it contains red Virginia. Also like FMC, it seemed sweet to me and another good crossover blend.

...I remember when FM came out. Tried it, loved it. Stocked up. Then, FMOTT came out. Ditto. Missed out the the other two FMs, but glad I followed my nose with regard to the first two Frogs...
