A disquisition for the Connoisseur After discussion of Rattray's elsewhere, for Peteguy and Lonecoyote. Sir Charles may come across as a bit pompous sometimes, but I do find the style and info in his booklet most entertaining and interesting Go here: www.fumeursdepipe.net/telecha/rattraysbooklet.pdf

antb, that’s a great booklet on the blending of Rattray’s tobacco’s. Already read a few pages, also saved the link and bookmarked it for future reading as well. Thanks for posting👍👍

Thanks for sharing that. I'm not a Connoisseur, but it's interesting.

Back in the late '60s they gave that booklet away at B&Ms that sold Ratttray's. I still have the one I got from the B&M in Dallas where I first was exposed to Rattray's . That was back when the blends were done in Scotland and were different than what is produced today, not neccessarily better just different.

Thanks for the bump Q and for the op, antb. Quite interesting. I wonder when the original text was written. It reads like late 19th early 20th century ad copy; lots of hyperbole. A fun read.
