Both Jim Morrison and Freddie Mercury are in a class of their own! Each and every song they sang โ belted โ out with inner feeling by both singers๐๐
Queen......Greatest Hits Each song is punched out with different levels of power. An hour of excellent music if your a Queen fan๐๐๐

I like the way Harry Connick Jr. does Sinatra better than Sinatra. Donโt even compare the two.....Harry Connick Jr. can sing๐๐. Sinatra was Mob controlled......thatโs about all I have to add.

Also listen to how Neil Diamond sings each song with a different way of getting his song across.....he knew how to โ belt โ out a song๐

@lonecoyote - not many Americans have heard of the great Scott Walker. Even though he was an American himself, he found fame in the UK. For me, he was the greatest of all "belters" and crooners. Even if you don't care for the style of music or whatever, you might appreciate his singing. In case you don't know him, here's one from his teen idol years:
And one from when he became a more serious musician:

Very cool...,does your wife speak Maltese? Tell your wife I said ......Kif inti ฤงabib. The language is similar to Arabic. I owned a Villa in the town of Triq San Pawl, St. Paulโs Bay. Absolutely stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea.

I like both Sounds of Silence versions. @10furlongs actually just pointed me to realize the difference. S&G version is a warning to all, sort of. Disturbed is a man bouncing his complaints off the walls of his head. Again, both are fine. For your approval, I submit another cover, very close to the original. Xuan thought it was S&G. I can say no more

David, I happen to agree with your wife. The version you posted sounds very similar to the original version by S&G in their younger years. I truly enjoyed Cover by Carvel ๐๐๐๐๐ I enjoyed it even more with my high end headphones ๐ง

The covers are all interesting, and it's a brave singer to cover one of the best selling records of all time "Generally considered a classic folk rock song, the song was added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically important" in 2012 along with the rest of the Sounds of Silence album." Simon really liked the Disturbed version.
