All of the above^^^^. This is sad but true...quality of most fellow citizens is why I am an old man and try not to mingle with the masses.

Unquestionable smokers are in the minority these days; however, one in four Americans would probably support anything if the question were properly phrased. Nothing to see here folks.

75% of Americans support smoking rights is how I read this. I know, if you total those numbers you get 75%. The reality is from what I see personally these days.....it’s more like 75% are opposed to smokers. So, what’s with numbers anyway???

I reckon that percentage stands to reason being there are most likely (if not more) that many narrow minded, self centered, self serving, egotistical liberal morons that choose to believe everything that is told them walking around this earth that don't even know the difference between their rear end and a hole in the ground, obviously. And people still choose to wonder why I became a hermit, one look around you without your rose colored glasses on and with Both eyes open will tell you. The world is going to hell in a hand basket and most just wish to shove their head in the sand and think "Well that has no affect on me so why should I care." That's got to be one of the stupidest statements I've ever heard and it's echoed everyday by the same people who brought you the oxymoron's pet rock and Military Intelligence. End of Rant........

I was going to say, these people should study American History, specifically WW II, and learn why so many willingly went to war, and died to defeat fascism. I’m sorry if I’m making this political.

Your point would have been made much better - and without contravening the rules of the forum - if you had left out one word. Wolfman, I think a better historical parallel is Prohibition, and how badly that turned out.

If I wear a conservative suit does that state what party I vote for?

@chico That’s probably a better example. I’m just angry that so many blindly follow what they think makes sense, without doing any research . I believe it’s applicable across the political and non-political spectrum.

Those political parties in the UK, like the Conservative Party and the Liberal Democrats - they must be referring to the cut of their suits. I don't know where I could have gotten the idea that it reflected a political ideology. *smh* as the kids say.

To be fair, The Gallup Polling Company is non partisan, they made the comment:
Their point being that as a group, they are inclined to support smoking bans, nothing political, just stating reality.

75% of Americans support smoking rights is how I read this. Yeah I was surprised it was not closer to 75% in opposition to tobacco.

There are some states with pot stores in every city and podunk town. In the meantime, there are no pipe tobacco shops because just about all of them have been driven out of business due to outrageous 95% tobacco taxes.
As they say - "Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner."
There are always plenty of little dictators perfectly willing to ban what the other guy likes.
- End of Rant -
