I thought it was strange that they are building a professional rugby stadium in Houston. We've supposedly had a pro cricket team for the past couple of years, but I haven't heard anything about them. It's OK though. We are inflicting Pro American style football on England. Take that!

I thought it was going to be a good soccer clip. All the years I lived in Europe I’ve never seen this sport played. Plenty of Brits and Pakistanis playing cricket was very popular. Other then soccer being the #1 sport in Malta, the #2 sport was water polo. Interesting video but a good shotgun blast would definitely liven things up a bit “ eh what “!

I like the second commentator in the video who speaks some sort of strange gobbledygook.

I’ve never understood the game of soccer and can’t grasp anything about the games of a Rugby or Cricket. Guess I’ll stick with American football, basketball, baseball, and billiards. With these I at least understand the object of the game.

Cricket is too strange for me, but I do sort of understand rugby and enjoy watching it.

I was expecting to see a few blokes trying to keep an angry weasel in their pants the longest.

One of my sons played rugby in college. It's rougher than American football because the only padding they were is an optional thin leather helmet. It's a vicious cross between keep-away and football. Watching the women play rugby was even more interesting.

For all ya'll that find watching cricket difficult, I recommen checking out the Indian Premier League. Not only is it the top leauge in the world, with rollicking stadiums, and colorful uniforms alá the US sports but they play 20/20 which is a very easy to follow variety of the sport in comparison to the Test variety.

The object of soccer is to kick the ball into the goalie's net using your feet or head. The object of hockey is to put the puck into the goalie's net using a stick to beat the crap out of the opponent while doing it.

Sounds like they are all the same just different things go across the goals and they wear different uniforms. Soccer is the real Football at least everywhere else in the world !

Liverpool fan here, Collingwood Magpies (Australian rules football) and Dallas Stars hockey. Born and raised Texan who hates football with a passion (with an especially strong loathing for the cowboys and Jerry jones) can’t abide basketball with all the annoying players and refuse to sit through a baseball game if I can help it. Grew up playing baseball and football which is probably why I loathe them so much. I actually like watching rugby and cricket and got to play a little when I lived in Europe for a year.

I take it even further and didn't like the Houston Oilers or the Houston Texans. Don't care for professional basketball or professional baseball either. I do like football though.

I’ve been a Washington Redskin fan going into my 55th year. Also a NY Ranger fan!! Plus I try and watch Premier League Soccer when on ESPN or NBC Sports channel, became a huge fan while living in Europe and followed Manchester United and Arsenal ever since, a lot of history behind these two clubs.👍👍👍 I’m not now, never was when younger a fan of baseball or basketball.

At no point in the video did I think this was anything other than a heretofore unseen Monty Python skit, with Graham Chapman in the Short-Shorts

Now back to our regularly scheduled topic.....SPORTS
My opinion, the best Soccer player of my time...Pele....his 10 best goals.
PS That’s another great point about this forum.....if we get off topic for a few threads nobody gets their joints ( or knickers in a knot ) out of place and starts with the BS complaints.....oh, I’m telling a Mod on you....lol. We get back on topic and I’m sure most members here would agree with my point of view.
