I just smoked the best bowl of Andullo that I've had so far. Probably the 2nd best pipe I've smoked since I started. I had tobacco out to dry, showered, shaved my head and got dressed. I packed my bowl, grabbed my matches and put my shoes on. Real life suddenly interrupted and I left. I spent the afternoon running around all over north Florida and south Georgia. Thomasville, Tallahassee, Lake City, Valdosta... well I didn't bring my pipe. Fast forward 7 hours later and I finally got home. What was there to meet me? My bowl of Andullo. I walked out to the garden (my favorite smoking spot), sat in my chair and lit my bowl... The rest is history and my chaotic day went away just like that. I'll remember that smoke forever. What kind of pipe? Wide or narrow bowl? I smoked some in my MM Eaton last night, but I think it might do better in a wider bowl.

It was in my Grabow Freehand, it's a wide bowl, about the same diameter as a nickel. It's better in my Georg Jensen which is just a bit wider but also deeper.

Estes Special from Wynbrier Smoke Shop (Estes Park, CO) in a small no-name (only markings are "made in Italy" on the right and "Sport" on the left). Picked it up at the shop when wife and I were roaming around Estes Park. Picked it up to use as a take everywhere pocket pipe, but work has consumed me this year; so it hasn't left the house yet.

Decided on some Pipe and Pint Six Virginias (this blend was given to me by a very nice (now defunct) Pipesmokersforum.com member)to smoke in the Butz-Chacom Rising Sun 1780 pipe with some Grains Of Wrath Whoopty Whoop Wheat Ale with Lemon Peel along side.

Now smoking Cornell & Diehl London Squire in a Peterson Aran (606) Fishtail with a vulcanite stem. My drink is Gatorade G2 Glacier Cherry.
The London Squire, I believe, is only available in bulk, but it is very complex, elegant, cool smoke, that I recommend. This one reminds me of Dunhill's 965 and may actually be my replacement for 965.
Which excites me, actually. That means that the Izmir Turkish (I'm SURE its in here, although not listed) and Virginias they sell for blending probably go into THIS blend. Which means I may be able to blend my own batch someday similar to one of Dunhill's using their blenders!

Jim, Have you tried both RR matches? I only have Sutliff's, which is superb. If you have, what did you think of Lane's?

This is my first tin of St. Bruno Flake. I’d gotten a few flakes from a sample a couple years back and had so much different open tobacco at the time never gave it another spin. Going to have St Bruno in this 1970 Savinelli Classica blasted Oom Paul 620, and then OGS in this late 60’s Grabow Grand Duke lovat. Almost finished with the Bruno, tasty. The Venerable Saint is truly a great tobacco.
