Best album ever: Quadrophenia! Do you have a "Quad" audio system to hear it properly? Nope Would absolutely love to hear it on a decent system. I have both the double LP and CD.

Quad sound was made possible at a reasonable price for those audiophiles back in the 70βs.....this company was the first to combine a 25β color TV screen with a high end Quad sound system.....completely made here in the πΊπΈ USA πΊπΈ...Teledyn Packard Bell

For some strange reason I don't have any copy at all. Out of 310 vinyl albums and 400+ CDs I have a large portfolio of the best music from that era.

Packard Bell invested over 80% of the stock holders money into the Quad Sound System but it never became popular due to the fact that less then 5% of the audio was only recorded in dual channel stereo. That was the demise of Packard Bell and bankruptcy was filed 3 years later.

They were a force to be reckoned with...when they were younger....they sound a little older and strained in the first video. Guess I would be too, at my age....and theirs. Still good however.

When we all get older and you have to be helped out on stage, being held up by 2 muscle bound guys, thatβs when itβs time to retire. Thatβs how it was at the last Kenny Rogers performance. I thought he was about to kick the bucket on stage at any given time!

I saw them in the 80βs, they were still in top form, they really rocked the house...one of the loudest concerts I ever attended, and no distortion that I could tell.

Well then....crap it isππ Guess I know enough about different β crap β to be considered a board certified proctologist....LMAO π Proctologist is a anal and rectal surgeon you my friend are a scatologist dealing with the study of poop. Seriously, I also am amazed at the amount of stuff floating around in your noggin.

Jack, the medical term you used scatologist is now known as coprology....the study of feces.....nope not my field. Iβm more into the study of past or present a$$holes....thatβs a Proctologist...lol. A Proctologist is not necessarily a surgeon,, however those who suffer from having their brains up their butt see a Proctologist. I have a sibling that needed brain surgery, it took a Proctologist to find his brain during a digital exam. From there he was sent to a specialist for a Proctal- lobotomy......LMAO...πππ

Amazing, from The Who to proctology, scatology and coprology - is there an end in sight. It started out as a very nice thread about one of my favorite groups and is now being hijacked. C'mon guys, let's get back on subject and talk about one of the best rock groups to come out of the 60's and the great memories we've all had.

Any fans of the movie version of Tommy? I go back and forth between thinking it's probably the greatest rock musical ever made, to thinking it's self-indulgent, pretentious, and silly. I guess it's really both. Plus, Ann-Margret.
