I'm an aro guy and just recently purchased and tried the SG chocolate flake. I got no chocolate taste or note from the tobacco. Anyone else have experiences with this tobacco that can relate? Just as a tobacco it's great! Smokes well and stays lit. Just doesn't have the aromatic quality I was looking for.

Try Sutliff Chocolate Supreme or Sutliff Chocolate Mousse tobacco’s ......you’ll definitely get that chocolate flavor and aromatic smoke your looking for. Happy piping 👌👍

Yeah, it's great but it takes a few tries to really "get" it, and to accept the fact that it's more like a light dusting of unsweetened cacao powder than chocolate. Same with the Latakia - it's so light it's barely even noticeable.

Gawith and Hoggarth and Sam Gawith have both really been all about the flavour of their tobaccos, which tend to be more TRADITIONAL, tobacco purity law-esque tobaccos. They may have a few true "aromatics" out there, like Celtic Talisman and Black Forest, but most of their tobaccos are really geared towards the non-aro smoker, I think. I agree with looking at Sutliff, they have some great aromatics. I would add vanilla custard to that list - its a joy to smoke, and brings joy to everyone around you as well, with its wonderful room note. Another really brilliant aromatic I recently tried (and liked so) much that I bought 4 oz's of is Cornell and Diehl's Founding Fathers. The pomegranate -- you wouldn't think it at first, but its a great flavour added to the Virginias and Burleys, and an amazing room note!

One of my favorite SG offerings and a real sleeper in the range, because most prospective smokers think it's an aro. In fact, IMO, it consists of that fine SG Va's with a pinch of burley and latakia with a slight sprinkling of milk chocolate. I have just finished my last tin and miss it already.

Cadbury's chocolate flake is a different matter, but I wouldn't try smoking it.
I've had issues with 'named' flavours in tobaccos. I can never really pick out the flavour, except for Cult Blood Red Moon. All the others have something different, but I can't detect the named-flavour. That said, I can't really detect anything apart from smoke so I'm pretty useless to you. Sorry.

If you like cocoa, pop a tub of Chatham Manor. It smells just like a can of Nestle's Chocolate Milk Mix and you won't be able to help getting it in the smoke.

I have found this to be true as well. I am on an SG kick right now and buy a tin when I see it. The quality and taste of the tobacco is what I expect from a premium tobacco. The aro's (that I have tried) from SG could be a bit stronger on the flavor.

I'll be sure to ask you in the future

This is been my issue on most as well. Cult: BRM is my favorite aro. I own 5 tins of it right now with probably more on the way. The only flavors I can usually pick up in most aros is Cherry, Vanilla, and Maple. All others elude me on the flavor department... so far.

I hope you get there. I'm not sure I ever will.

The closest thing to this I have tried is Bob's Chocolate Flake. It really doesn't taste like an aro. The chocolate is there, but more as an aftertaste.
