This tobacco, however, was butterscotch immediately upon putting the match to it. Not that it was a bad thing, but I'll look for some nuance later I got caramel or butterscotch from this one too. Unfortunately, I also got tongue bite. I liked the taste and the aroma, but doubt I will buy more.

Mine made it to the mulch area in my daughters backyard π You should have sent it to me. I'd pay the $500 to bring it into the country. If it were possible I would have been happy to send that and more, you need to find out if your taxed on any gifts you receive!!!

For me itβs way over topped!!

Like I've said, there are tons of tobaccos here that I can sample. BOM is a treat for me if a tobacco is chosen that I can get, but I'm happy in my own wee world of taxes and rain.

If there's something that you really want to try, seems to me that a tin of tobacco (50g) is better than nothing. Is there a limit to how many people can send you 50g of tobacco?

I couldn't make myself do it today. I'll take some out in the morning and let it dry all day when I'm at work.

I decide to smoke some Sweet Killarney as I walked the dog tonight. I opened the tin and took a sniff. I got a very apparent smell of butterscotch or caramel. There was some fruity smell too. Raisin? Figs? Not sure. I also got an alcohol smell. I think it is rum or maybe brandy. I filled a MM Legend; it seem the appropriate pipe, all things considered. It seemed that the initial taste was absolutely butterscotch, but after a bit I detected the alcohol. I couldn't place it for a minute, but then it hit me. It tasted like a mug of hot buttered rum. Not unpleasant at all. About half way through I got a taste of some spice. Cinnamon. I think that is from the Virginia, as that is a flavor I pick up when I smoke VAs. I also pick up a bit of chocolate. The buttered rum is still there but not quite as prevalent as it was early in the smoke. The second half of the bowl is better than the first. The flavors seem to come together and it is a decent smoke. I didn't get any tongue bite and with a few lights it smoked down to a fine ash. Moisture in the bowl was not an issue. I think this isn't a bad Aromatic. It is probably not something that I would buy again, but I like it enough to know that I will finish the tin. (I might mix it with a little burley...)

Well I finally made myself smoke another bowl. This time I let it dry completely, I'm talking 3-4 hours. I think cgvt hit the nail on the head with buttered rum. It still dried my mouth like 1Q does. The smell of it burning is a good smell, the taste of it, not so much. After the first 1/4 of the bowl most of the flavor vanished and all I really got was "smoke" (just for you LL) It's not something I'd grab for, but it's not horrible either. And by horrible, I mean comparable to Tsuge Raijin. No bite when fully dried

I really like this blend it has a nice sweetness to it and always makes me want some coffee. It has a very sweet cream flavor to me and I will definelty be keeping it in my regular rotation.

I tried some a while back that a friend gave me. Was sadly dissapointed in it. Smoke wet, and I thought it was a blend made by McBite for the bite it had! I tried my best Va sipping and that didn't work at all, still bit like hell! An aro made by Peterson I do like and smoke often is their Deluxe Mixture which is all Va's with a light topping of vanilla. Smooth, easy smoking and gives a nice room note as well. JMHE

Want what's left of mine? I sent half of my tin to Sam so he could try it. So I have half a tin minus 2 cob fulls.

My 4 year jar aged Sweet Killarney is very enjoyable... I air dry a few pipefulls in advance for a day of flavorful smokes... can only say good things about it. Don't believe it does as well fresh outa the tin... fyi.
