After 50+ years of smoking I've narrowed my tobacco choices to 5 blends, 3 tinned and 2 bulk. K.I.S.S. it So other than Royal Yacht what are your other favorite blends? Just curious. Next in line would be McC's 5100 RC and then FM 2000 with Peterson's Deluxe Mixture for an Aro and the BEST Balkan made today, Arango's Balkan Supreme. It's the closest to the old BS 759 I've had and I smoked that for almost 30 years !

My rotation changes from time to time...Right now it consists of John Cotton: 1 & 1+2 Samuel Gawith: Commonwealth, SJF & VF Dunhill: Nightcap PS: Bullseye & Navy Flake D&R: Rimboche AB C&D: Billy Budd And a few others Aromatics Dan Tobacco: Back Velvet Tewkesbury: Hobbit's Weed Lane: RLP6 These Tobacco blends are sitting in jars near my smoking area. I simply pick whatever is suitable for the evening. The rest of my tobacco is stored elsewhere. A magical place is known as "The Cellar" which consists of deep (those jars & tins stored for a year or more) and open (available any time to fit into the rotation) sections.

Usually around 10-15 open at any time. However, with the new Yellow and Green 3 Nuns I just recieved, there's 2 more now open. Dude, you're gonna be just fine here! Welcome home!

Large drawers for tobaccos hard-to-get or no longer made (long-term aging.) Ball/Mason jars, tins or otherwise original packaging. Several shelves for Bell/Mason jars, tins, pouches of currently available tobaccos. Side table with 3 or 4 daily smokers (recent Penzance, Molto Dolce, Celtic Mist, etc.) on side table in more jars.

I was buying various blends to smoke presently. I was doing this for a while. One day I tried an aged VaPer. Then I tried some other aged blends. Suddenly I found myself cellaring just about everything fresh. I’ve been fortunate acquire some more aged blends, mostly through trades. Thanks to my friend @lonecoyote , I’began cellaring some burley blends. So to answer your question, I try to smoke some blends consistently, but not always. At any given time, I have about 20 tins, jars, samples from which I chose to smoke.

All of my tobaccos are in rotation! Pick up pipe of choice, pick tobacco I feel like smoking, smoke.
All I have right now is a plethora of 1-2oz samples (apart from 6oz of Bayou Morning that I'm leaving alone), but I'm getting to the place where I know what kinds of blends I like. I have yet to get to the cellaring phase, but I feel that's coming soon..

Not really a cellar as much as its half a drawer. I open a tin and try to smoke it through before opening anything else. I have several open I like the variety too much.

Sigh... I'm currently up to maybe three dozen jars and a couple tins open. Admittedly, some of the jars are small and simply holding baccy from tins that I just didn't care for. I like to let them breath slightly and sit a few months. That changes any blend in my experience. So no real rotation here. Just trips to an ever-expanding buffet.

I just smoke what I’m in the mood for. It’s all jarred and in a cool dark cabinet, so there’s no hurry.

Was wondering how you guys rotate your tobaccos between everyday use and cellar. I have about 10 tins/jars in rotation at any one time that consist of all varieties of tobacco depending on mood. Then as the tins/jars empty I pull a close equivalent from the cellar and start it up. Do you guys do something similar? I do pretty much exactly what you do Sounds about right for me too. That's a pretty smart way to figure out what you like without a heavy investment.

I have 3 small mason jars on my desk (Va/VaPer, aro, Lat), a small tobacco jar (from Smoking Pipes) that is currently filled with Escudo, and 2 open tins. I usually rotate the blends in the jars as one empties, except for around the holidays when I break out the Halloween and Christmas blends. I try not to keep too many open, as my smoking can range anywhere from 3+ pipes a day to one a week. In Germany I kept a jar of Angler's Dream and a jar of Chicken and Waffles on my desk. These were my usual smokes, but I'd break open any one of a number of mason jars here and there. I enjoy the variety, but am now starting to narrow down what I really enjoy. Eventually I'll get it down to just a few blends that I'll cellar/smoke, but that is years away.

I like SWRA so much it’s now part of my daily rotation.......it’s that good👌👍. I’m surprised, I really enjoy this blend....not a fan of the original SWR....I never smoked cigarettes, maybe that’s why???
