I need to rehydrate the Drew Estates “Meat Pie” and did so it came out a lil damp but not soggy, I let it dry for about 15 minutes and into the 121 it goes. It wasn’t hard to char and after wasn’t hard to light either. Campfire is what I get as I get it lit. “Meat Pie” is very smokey and I like that. I find it to be full bodied but would consider it to be a medium English
Being the first time out I would give it a 4 out of 5 with more smokes needed to tip the scale one way or the other. Bottom line is I like it.
I apologize for this review as I have never done one and I’m not nearly as sophisticated as most of the other pipers on here.

Jack, post your thoughts after a few bowls. It’s a blend I smoked years ago, I found it smokes best after breathing after a few weeks.

For someone who can't really detect anything more than smoke, this review is perfect for me. I completely 'get' what you're saying and, based on the review I know whether or not it's one I would like to try....I think I would.
Nice work.

Keep your eyes on eBay as well, not high priced. Central Park Stroll is my favorite 👍👍

Not many pipe smokers enjoyed Drew Estate blends, so I doubt we will see any Match blends. Just keep your eyes opened, if I notice any @ a reasonable price I will forward you the info👍

I loved Meat Pie but it went away when Swisher bought DE. IMO it’s the same mixture as Balkan Supreme and Balkan Sasieni.

I really wanted to try Meat Pie. The problem is those tins disappeared faster than Drew Estates other blends and could not be found soon after Drew Estate discontinued their pipe tobacco line. Now the price on eBay etc. is too expensive to justify purchasing.

Way to expensive on eBay, not worth the money....it was a good blend....not a great blend like others that are now no longer available.
