Browsing SP, I noticed that all/every Rattray's blends have a 10 units per day restriction on them and of course, the most popular are out of stock.

But now it's on sale and I think the restriction is gone. I wouldn't worry too much. It's a good idea to stock up on your favourite tins of everything though because I think we're just going to see more big closures as the years process, sadly. This business just isn't a profitable as it once was.

I take your point, but Presbyterian is a single offering, not 30. With the exception of Exotic Orange, there has not been a limit on Rattray's tobaccos in the past.

In the past it could be 2 months before Rattray’s is back in stock. Like you stated already many of the best sellers are already sold out....including Marlin Flake....took less then one day for that to be gone! Keep your eyes on Tobaccopipes and cupojoes website!! Incoming soon👍

I actually wish SP would put the same restriction on the some of the Gawith Hoggarth twists and blends because some of those repeatedly go out of stock within a week or even less after coming in.

I tried bagpipers dream as a sample when I first started pipe smoking. All I could taste was smoke (it's what I wrote on my spreadsheet... I'm a geek). Since I've realised that this is typical for me I might purchase some more.
Thankful there isn't a limit in the uk, but I'll only be buying 1 tin anyway so I think I'll be OK.

I just got a tin of Bagpiper's Dream from CupOJoe's. I haven't tried it yet. A LOT of open tins to go through first.

Bagpipers Dream, Exotic Passion (Exotic orange), and Red Rapparee are all great but if you find any Rattray’s Winter Edition you better hope I don’t see it first. In my opinion it’s better than any of the other holiday aromatics.

Back in the '70s I smoked three of Rattray's blends, Red Rapparee, Jocks Mixture and & 7 Reserve when they were made in Scotland. About 2 years ago I bought a tin of Red Rapparee and I was sadly disapointed with what K&K in Germany had done to it ! I just ordered a tin of 7 Reserve to see how this one is. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Michael, I was disappointed....hope you have better luck 👍 I still have a number of old 4.oz & 3.5 .oz cans from 2001 all the way back to 1976👍👍👍 For me, since 1996 the Rattray’s blends have completely changed. The blends I have from 2001 have a good number of years aging and smoke good....nothing like the original from Scotland......JMHO

Yea, as soon as I saw pappyjoe's post, I checked my online retailer....they've a lot of Rattrays but no winter edition (and they never have exotic orange either).

10 tins a day doesn't seem like much of a restriction to me.

Tobaccopipes.com just got new inventory. I bought a tin of Agent Orange last night. I just check and it’s sold out now. Marlin and Others are still in stock.

I can smell the cognac...smells a lot like some of the Peterson blends. I wonder will it have a similar taste.
