Epiphany has been in my regular rotation for quite a while now. Opening Night is very good Va. I’d definitely have more of this one if I didn’t have more McClelland Va than I’ll ever smoke. I landed a tin of Epiphany with my last purchase. I won't jar for years, but will wait till it gets close to a year. C&D's Berry Good was all sour out of the tin. I let it sit for a year and I actually get berry flavor now. I am almost as heavy with C&D blends as I am my Sutliff Mountain

Now that they are run by a hipster who was delivering pizza's a week before he became a "master blender" and they no longer support the shows other than CPCC I have no interest other than if the dozens of GLP tins I have in the davecave are rusting from the inside out. Good thing I gave up on them before the mold issues or I have that to worry about. I can understand that you do not like something. However, there is no need to attempt to degrade something with a pack of falsehoods and negativity. In this case, you’re making personal attacks on a friend. I assume that you’re attacking Jeremy Reeves with that pack of falsehoods. I have hung out smoking pipes and drinking adult beverages several times with Jeremy. He is definitely not a hipster. Also, he does not run C&D. Chris Tarler still does. Jeremy is the head blender and supervises production. That's just rude of you to denigrate pizza delivery drivers. Also, Jeremy's background prior to learning tobacco blending is as a chef. Cooking and creating food flavor combinations is pretty close to blending tobacco and creating tobacco flavor combinations. As to C&D only supporting the Chicago Show, I’ll just have to ask Jeremy about that when I see him by the C&D tobaccos at the Laudisi table at the Columbus Show in two weeks.

Guys, let's keep it civil.
Everyone has their opinions on blenders, retailers, etc. I'm fine when we have something to say about the business in general. After all, we are not beholden to advertisers and it is everyone's right to express their issues with a company.
That being said, I don't think there is any need for personal attacks. It is one of our rules here, even if the person is not a member of this community specifically.
I don't think I need to say more.

How could I? My daily smoke? Yes I forgot to include my daily smoke. I guess I reach into this jar so much I don't even think about smoking it. Its a thoughtless process. That is why I forgot to include it in my list. London Squire. I am not sure what blends to really compare it to. Its just a perfect English blend.

Personal attacks for me are NOT tolerable! That is a really cool pipe, coyote. What is it? I am sorry that happened to your tins. Did you contact C&D? They're usually pretty good about this kind of thing. As are smoking pipes, if that was your supplier. I've NEVER had a problem with C&D in the 10 years I've been smoking their blends. This happened after you jarred your tins though right? Still, that sucks. Anyway, it would take me a lot to pull myself away from C&D. I have the same attachment to them that I had for McClelland and Dunhill.

I knew there was a bit of bad blood so to speak in the piping community towards C&D. Its hard to understand why, though, with great blends like Billy Budd, London Squire, and Pirate Kake around, which are all go-tos for me. I had no idea some people felt this strongly about it, though. Anyway I think they're a good company and I do think Jeremy is a good blender.

I am going to rag on a pipemaker, by all accounts he had a good thing going and generally got great reviews. Then he abandoned the trade and sold out to a high tech career. I am not going to name names, but he formerly made pipes under a name that rhymed with “Windjammer” Take that!

I can't find a bad thing to say for them. And the tins are great. Honestly, I'm not sure why every manufacturer hasn't moved to adolpt them.

Besides all the above mentioned ones, I'll add Exhausted Rooster and Sansepolcro. Smoking some Exhausted Rooster right now, and Sansepolcro is one of my favorites!

The C&D blend that gave me the most issues with mold was Bijou. The first batch was 6 tins, all were replaced, I was assured the anti fungal agent was changed and the mold issue was rectified. A few months went by and I noticed 3 tins from the second batch were extremely swollen. Looked like they were about to pop! All 3 had mold. I opened the other 3 which had no mold so I jarred the batch. I just threw the other 3 in the garbage, I was so ticked off!!

I'm referring to the white hula skirt between the stem and the pipe. I've never seen something like that before.

I just ordered more Billy Budd Blonde. As long as I can get it at a reasonable price, and it is still legal, I am happy and will sing the praises of C&D.

In all honesty, I have yet to smoke a C&D bulk blend I’ve not enjoyed. So, their blender must be doing something right👍👍👍. I’m just a bit leery when it comes to purchasing their tin blends. I guess many of you forget the major mold issues with Samuel Gawith FVF boxed bulk, I mean the mold was dark green.
